Extended Stay America Bakersfield-California Ave, Bakersfield

The outside of this hotel looks really nice and clean...but once inside, everything changed! When I got to this hotel, it was late and with small children I just wanted to put them to sleep. I saw the hotel and thought this was a nice place to stay. Once in the room I saw it had a kitchenette, which I thought was nice. The room was a little musty but I didn't mind it, I thought its only for one night, its no big deal. Once in the bathroom, I noticed that there was a sign about the optional housekeeping which I thought was strange, but did not give it much thought. Then I noticed that there was hardly any toilet paper left, and no spare roll. We had to ask for roll and pick it up at the front desk. Then under the sink I saw a dead bug. After that I noticed that in the short time I was in the bathroom, my kids were walking barefoot in the kitchenette area and blacken their feet!! I started to wonder how often do they clean these rooms! I delt with it because it was late and I was tired. The next morning I started to pack up, I checked under the bed for any forgotten items and found a universal glue trap. This trap was for roaches, spiders, and or rats!! I found one under the bed and behind the dresser. If I would have seen these last night, I would have left running tired or not!! I would not recommed this place to anyone!! Looks are very decieving. The price was cheap, but you get what you pay for!
