Marianna Inn and Suites, Marianna

On one of my many trips between Baton Rouge and Orlando, I decided to stay the night and not make the long drive. I had stayed in other hotels in Marianna before, but decided to give this property a try. The price quoted was best overall and since it was only one night and I knew the location, I figured why not. I must say that I was very pleasantly surprised. My room was very clean with a king-size bed, coffeemaker, small refrigerator, hair dryer, etc. The room was much bigger than I expected. It was quiet, and the staff that I encountered at reception were most friendly, checking in and checking out. The complimentary breakfast was very good and filling and the staff engaged in pleasant conversation as they made sure appointments were in order. I plan to stay there again and will recommend this property to others.

I was at this hotel and witnessed this women's rant with the front desk lady. It wasnt the employees fault at all, she tried to be nice. But this woman was the rude one, and it really gave parents a VERY BAD name. This hotel is only about a 3 or 4 out of 5 stars but the service was excellent. It is an old hotel with exterior rooms, which didnt bother me. It was comfortable and friendly. I have stayed here about 4 times, and I will return.

I have stayed in many hotels with my sons travel baseball team, and some of them have not been good. BUT THIS HOTEL IS TERRIBLE !!! The rate that we were quoted over the phone was not the rate they wanted to charge us when we got there. The customer service there was so terrible, the lady at the front desk threw my papers at me, she was sooooo rude. The rooms had mold in them and there were bugs all around. They gave us "damp" towels and the house keeping was terrible. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL - YOU WILL BE VERY SORRY YOU DID. There are three good hotels right in that vacinity to stay at - unfortunately they were booked up. As soon as one had an opening for all of our baseball families, we packed our stuff, left the Holiday Inn and went to that hotel for the rest of our stay. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL.....

Not sure if the other reviews posted here are from the same hotel! I stayed here a few nights ago, and had a great experience. It was well worth the money, and if I'm ever back in the area, I'll stay there again. The building is a bit older, and has doors that face outside, but that was completely offset by the staff. They were very warm and friendly. It seemed like I was an old friend who had been away, and was being welcomed back home. I don't usually eat breakfast (and didn't here, either,) but it seemed pretty good. It was a hot breakfast...not the standard, "here's your bagel and coffee, now let me show you the door..." rap. Hope this helps someone!

The room weren't clean I expected a Holiday Inn Express to be top notch and have very nice rooms. I know some people do a lot of damage but I always try to pick up and leave things in a ordely fashion so I expect to find a perfectly clean room when I pay to stay the night.
