Avi Resort and Casino, Laughlin

liked everthing so much that we go to the avi at least twice a month. we live nearby in lake havasu az. and could very easily go to laughlin to the other resort/casinos there, but we think the avi has got the other properties beat.

HI, LIVE IN LAKE HAVASU AND GO TO THE AVI FREQUENTLY.... check in was pleasant..and fast..river rooms are nice and clean. The bingo staff is fun and VERY HELPFUL. My husband and i go to get out of town,,and just relax and have fun. The Feathers cafe is excellent!! Staff very friendly...I recommend this hotel for others to just relax..it is very low-key..if you want alot of HOOPLA...i suggest Vegas were there are more hotels and people...We love it as locals!! Keep up the good work AVI !!!!

This hotel literaly has it all. The staff there were nice and greated us with hello's every day. They have a nice little beach on the river behind the hotel where you can rent jet ski's. The pool is really nice with a spa and a place to get drinks (alcoholic and non). The casino looked big but I didnt play any. If any of you are going for the fireworks like I did, here is some info cause there is not much on the internet. The Avi has a gas station outside the hotel with a 7 11. inside the 7/11 to the right of the store, they have the firework section. I have to warn you right now, Its not very big, but they have some really good assortments that have more in them. The store sells Great Grizzly brand fireworks, but they dont sell nearly all of them. I bought 1 assortment and it lasted us 2 nights. Everything is pretty cheap there though. I hope you guys decide to go to the Avi, because it was a lot of fun

Positives: I was able to check in early at 12:30pm. The pool is nice and they have their own boat launch. The gas station sells gas at least 50 cents cheaper than any of the stations in Needles. The A/C worked well (but it was as loud as a vacuum cleaner). Free WiFi in the rooms. Negatoves: The ice machine did not work on our floor. They do not provide hair conditioner (just shampoo). If you want conditioner you have to buy it at the gift shop. The pillows were flatter than a pancake. Called the front desk at 8:00pm to get extra pillows and told Housekeeping closes at 4:00pm. I would stay again but there is room for improvement.

The beds have all new mattresses and they are great. Air conditioning is also very good. Kidquest and hotel pools great for small children, and the slots are loose. Restaurants were good, something for everyone. We will definately be back for more.

Enjoyed the casino gambling. Lots of nickle and penny machines. Rooms were convenient on the first floor. Check in and check out was good times. One restaurant was not to our liking but all others were great, especially the buffet. Was able to change our reservation due to an illness.

This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in and i have stayed in quite a few bad hotels. The staff was so rude i wanted to leave before we even checked in. Check in is at 4 our room wasnt ready until 530, after waiting in line for a half hour to check we were told we would have to wait until our room was ready which is fine, but we were also told that we would have to go through the 1/2 hour line again!!! once we finally got to our room it was ok, but extremely dark. we dont like our room cleaned until we leave so we put a do not disturb sign in the door, the next morning the maid tried to come in the room 3 times at 7 in the morning, even with the do not disturb on the door!!! we tried renting a movie on tv because the tables and slots here are so bad and when it finally came on the tv there were lines across the hole screen so we really couldnt see the movie, when i called the front desk again i was put on hold and when she finally came back to the phone i was once again talking to an EXTREMELY rude woman, it took them 20 minutes to promise that the movie we couldnt watch wouldnt be on our bill. ALL of the staff doesnt seem like they enjoy their jobs here or the people who are staying here, which in all actuality pay their salary with our reservations. the only good thing about this place is the cocktail waitresses (which arent that good anyway) and the pool is very pretty but not heated.

We stayed in the RV park and we loved it! Nice people and east to get in and out. Lots to do over at the casino...we will definitely be going back. :)

WE WENT TO THE AVI ANDTHEY CHARGED OUR CREDIT CARD WITHOUT GIVING US A CHANCE TO WITHDRAW MONEY TO PAY FOR THE ROOM SO THEY HELD $100.00 FROM MY CARD. THEN THE SHOWER BURNED ME AND WHEN I TOLD THEM ABOUT IT THEY SAID OH LIKE THEY DID NOT BELIEVE ME. THEY ARCADE FOR KIDS IS A BIG JOKE AND THE ROOMS ARE VERY SMALL FOR THE PRICE YOU PAY. THE ONLY THING THAT WAS GOOD WAS THE BUFFET. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO ANYONE!!!!!!

It was like being on a cruise, we had everything we needed there. We had friendly service, clean rooms, great movie theaters and super food. We are going back again, promise.
