Comfortable & Convenient

We have stayed here once before and it was clean and comfortable--And to set the record straight-- It is NOT 10 minutes to the beach!! Maybe that guy Steve was riding a bike, in a car its less than 5 minutes- We stayed a whole summer in a condo off Oleander and we could get to the beach in 10 minutes(unless the draw-bridge was up).

Excellent place to stay

My husband and I stayed at this Hampton Inn for 3 nights and were very impressed all the way around. The staff was exceptionally helpful and went out of their way to get us what we needed without asking! We will be back!

Was once an OK place to stay, but things change.

In the past three years I have stayed at this hotel a total of 8 - 10 times on both business and pleasure. During the last 3-4 stays I have noticed that the hotel, service, employee attitudes, particularly the front desk personnel's attitude have gone dramatically downhill. In my opinion, a better option is the new Hampton Inns near the UNCW campus which is within walking distance of several good restaurants. Also the description of this motel is somewhat deceiving as the motel is an approximate 10 minute drive to the beach and is not easily walked. The new Hampton is only 5 minutes further away and a much better value in my opinion.
