Hyatt Place Atlanta Buckhead, Atlanta

I liked nothing about this place! I received the worst customer service I have ever had in my life and not to mention this coming from a business that is in the hospitality industry. I could receive better hospitality at an enemies that I wasn't even paying! There are way too many better hotels in Buckhead then to deal with this place. The Embassy Suites for instance is very close and same price range & a much better hotel!

I was looking for a hotel in the Buckhead area on Hotwire & Priceline. Eventually my decision was between the 3* and the 4* level. Based on other winning bids, I figured that I could either pay around $40-50 for the 3* or $80-95 for the 4*. I opted to skimp and go with the 3*. I was thrilled to get the Hyatt place for $40/night. This hotel definitely exceeded my expectations. The location was great, walking distance from several restaurants and Lenox Square and Phipps Plaza are also just down the road. The staff was also very friendly and helpful with any questions that I had. Free parking was a big plus for this area. The hotel shuttle has drop off/pick up service within a 2 mile radius, but we didn’t even use it once we saw how easy it was to just walk. The free internet room was a lifesaver for me, as I was able to manage my fantasy football team without having to bring the laptop. Breakfast was nothing special, but it was free, so what can you expect? The design of the room is great. It gives the feel of a suite even though the overall size isn’t really that large. The 42” HD isn’t too shabby, either. Without question, I would stay here again, even if the deal isn’t quite as nice the next time!

we thought it was a really terrific hotel. the location is superb, central near shopping and entertainment. the room was very large. The staff was excellent, friendly and helpfull. nice outdoor pool. great hotel!

Loved: *Free parking - contrary to what "a loser" wrote, the parking is easy to find...just past the ten spots of 2 hour parking. There are basically empty 5 floors of free parking. *Free internet *Free breakfast *WONDERFUL staff. They were always ready and willing to help. *Huge rooms - we had two double beds, a big pullout couch, desk, bathroom, and fridge. *42 inch tv...enough said. Construction is almost finished. When we asked to be moved to the other side of the hall, away from the construction, our request was quickly granted.

First of all this hotel is hard to get into because if you're coming from anywhere north of the location you can't turn across the concrete median but have to go past and circle back. This was not mentioned in the directions given. There was new construction going on just across the drive with all the attendant mess. When we checked in desk clerk said "free" parking was available in garage adjacent. After parking I saw lots of signs that said "2 hour parking only". When I went back into the hotel and asked another clerk I was then told that the hotel's parking area was on the fourth floor. Had to go back to garage a move car. Rooms were OK except baths were tiny. You have to step to side to close bathroom door. Bed was not comfortable so we did not get a good nights sleep which is the main purpose of staying in a hotel. Staff seemed ill trained or indifferent or both. We did get a ride to the Lenox Place Mall from a bellhop and he was nice and friendly. Not anywhere close to the level of service you normally expect (and receive) from the Hyatt folks.

From the minute we walked in the door we were greeted by an extremely friendly and helpful staff. It was like meeting old friends again. When we had a toilet problem it was taken care of immediately and never knew that they had even been there to fix it. I would definitely stay here again and have told all my friends to do so when they are in Atlanta.

The Hyatt Place/Buckhead was not a good hotel. They had constuction trucks that were loud at 6:30am in front of the hotel. They don't have a sidewalk as of right now. We were not notified of any of this when booking. Money and a MP3 player was missing from my son'backpack. Another boy had money missing from his wallet as well.Not sure how safe this hotel is. I would not want this to happen to another family.I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Other than the fact that they put us BEHIND the elevator, our stay here was very pleasant. The room was immaculate and smelled great. I loved the contemporary feel and my husband loved the TV. There is construction going on right now so it was a little bit of a challenge to figure out how to get in, but once we figured it out, we had no problem. The staff was exceedingly pleasant and helpful. I will definitely be a repeat guest!!!

great hotel for the money. Didn't feel like a "value" property. Clean & comfortable room. Everything in working order. Breakfast included scrambled eggs, sausage, waffles, yogurt & fruit. Very convenient-1/2 mile from Lenox Square. Adjacent to a strip mall with a grocery store. Parking is in an adjacent parking deck. Rock Bottom Brewery/Grill is across the parking lot.

The free HOT breakfast was a plus. The waffles were great. The place was well kept, really nice. The room was very spacious complete with a separate living room and kitchenette. The staff was very hospitable and kind. I would definitely stay here again.
