Phoenix Inn Beaverton Hillsboro, Beaverton

I travel to Portland twice per year and everytime I stay at the Phoenix Inn. It is reasonably priced, clean, and the rooms are spacious. The staff is friendly. The breakfast is good. The ONLY thing I would like to see changed is the hallway carpet. It could use a little more cleaning...

I will never go there again. Desk clerk was supposed to get back to me after I'd called to reserve a quiet room. 40 minutes later I had to call back, no phone coverage (rang and rang). Finally I call back again, but of course by then there was much less to choose from. He discounted me the room, one of their king suites and when I got there the phone was broken. Room was nice but the walls and ceilings there have very little sound insulation. Got some idiot(s) upstairs who "started" watching tv at 11:15 pm. Clerk moved me to another room, but same problem with some yahoo next door (this at 12:30). Moved me to another room, but this one's air conditioner was faulty (which is why I booked the room in the first place, to get cool) and clerk neglected to tell me that the breakfast lady would be running the microwave over and over at 4 am (beep beep beep) and that he would be putting the lobby tv on then as well. If the air conditioner had actually worked, it might have blocked all of this out. Then after I relay all of this to the daytime manager the next morning, she discounts a whopping $44 off of my bill which still hasn't shown up in my bank account. NEVER AGAIN! Save your money and go elsewhere, unless you don't mind listening to the neighbors tv or a beeping microwave with no phone and a bad air conditioner for $129.

Stayed here for a week while visiting friends. Front desk staff did not seem to care but the house keeping staff was terrific. Laundry room equipment did not work well and many of the vending machines were out of stock. We will try another place next time.

I highly recommend this hotel. The service was excellent. The room was beautiful and clean. The hotel was nice and quiet. Very polite service. And we were in heaven, slept like a baby. Our wedding anniversary that we definitely will not forget. A++++++++
