Best Western San Marcos, San Marcos

We had good service, clean rooms, reasonable prices and convenient to just about everything.They were very friendly and helpful with directions and suggestions on where to eat and find drug stores etc. The room was very comfortable and clean. the beds were very comfortable. We will go again.

Good location; however, problems included hair in shower, showerhead stopped up, sink stopped up, no facial tissue, 2 walls cracked open (building not new like website said), coffeepot took 35 minutes to brew and 2nd day had not been cleaned, no cups, decaf or sweetener either day. Clerk (actually the general manager) unable to understand after repeating common english name 5 times. Also, website indicates extended continental breakfast (limited was more like it) and clerk used bare hand to put bagels in latex gloved hand, then put in trays. Second day, our room key card would not work! The manager tried to rectify most of our complaints, but most of them should never have been problems in the first place. Very frustrating experience.

There were ants crawling all over the bathroom vanity and the cleaning personnel dumpled the fluid out of one of the used cups, rewrapped it and set it for use as if it were a new cup. Some of the hand towles were refolded for use again even with though the use of them was visible. I would never stay at this hotel again - the management did seem the least bit concerned about the complaints.
