Not the place to stay

We got to Branson as a late check in, which the hotel was informed about this. Our room was not ready as we were told it would be. We did not have the things in our room as we were told. The night person that was supposed to be at the desk was in the breakfast area with his girl friend, that I am glad my three children did not walk in with me. Our room was smoked filled as we requested a non-smoking room it seemed as that the smoke was coming from the vent in the bathroom that you had no control over but it made it for a not very nice smell. The faucet in the room was about to come out of the sink because the caulk was all pulled away. There were light bulbs that were out. Every morning when we left for the day , we left a note to the attendant that we be left five towels and wash cloths and every day we had to go get that extra one.
The breakfast area was way too small and cramped. The microwave worked sometimes the milk was out as soon as two people poured themselves a glass and you had to wait for the guy to go fill it up.
When the day came for us to check out, we were locked to this room because the person that I talked to on the phone did not put us in the computer right but gave us a conformation number and we did not want to lose the hundreds of dollars to move to another hotel if we could find one that is why you book in advance which I thought I did, they told us there was no refund, therefore for four days we stuck it out, but when it came the day for us to check out the doors were locked at 6:30 in the morning when we wanted to leave. We banged on them and they night person again did not want to open it up but I told him that we were checking out and could I get that receipt and he said no he could not give me that. I told him that I know with the mix up when got there that I should owe him for a roll away bed that we got later in the stay and he said oh yeh!! well we could have just left without paying but we did the right thing and got in to pay, then the desk person tells me I have to pay cash because he already rang up the bills for the night. Well about then I had about had it with this place but we were on our way to church then leaving to go back home ( about a 12 hour trip) so I paid him the cash said thank you and walked out. But just to let the rest of the people who might be thinking about staying there DON'T!!! You may want to have a better night stay than we had.
