We usually stay at Hampton Inns because they are pretty reliable, but I was disappointed in this one. Upon walking into the bathroom, the first thing I noticed was that the floor had not been cleaned. There was hair all over. It is my pet peeve about hotels and this was terrible. The bathroom was overall kind of outdated and dirty. Also, when we went to breakfast, there were no open tables so I had to stand w/ two kids and wait for one. I was overall, not impressed, espcecially for being over $100 a night.
I stay at Hampton's most times. The room was small, bathroom smaller. No room to put your things. The beds were hard. Computer (2) area by front desk, computer was so slow it was unusable. The breakfast room was dirty. We were there at about 8:30 each am. Cans over filled, tables dirty each day. I started bringing wipes from my room to clean them. Never did anyone come out to wipe tables or food areas. We were there 3 days, 2/13, 14 & 15. Food areas messy. There were no eggs, no bacon just basic foods like cereal and biscuits. Milk was out, when I asked the girl for more she was not happy. Coffee was awful! Had to go to Hardees across the street. The location was good by restaurants and highway.
Pros: location, gym, hot tub, pool, pillows
Cons: beds... not the Cloud Nine, lack of decent coffee pot in the room, the room above sink drain visible and irritatingly audible, lack of exhaust fan in bathroom
The locate is convenient to I-77 and Rt. 460. The room was spacious and clean, the bed was comfortable. The shower was nice with a massage showerhead and the shower curtain rod was curved so the curtain didn't blow in on you. I also thought the soap was very nice and didn't dry my skin out.
There is only thing to note is the breakfast foods were running out if you go after 9:30 am (this may depend on the occupancy and the morning.) The breakfast the morning before (I went earlier) was great with a wide variety of foods, even fresh fruit, eggs, biscuits and gravy. I would definitely stay there again.
