Lousy Mattress & Stale Danish
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/20/06
A+: Wireless Internet access works flawlessly from both the room and lobby. I use Linux and assume Windows would work nearly as well.
B-: This Super 8 Motel is reasonably clean and accessible although it shows it's age e.g., worn lobby furniture, broken hair dryer in room, etc. The staff, while less than engergetic, is particularly courteous.
C: Our room was on the front side of the motel so traffic noise from the Nortth Central Expressway was quite noticeable. There is only one place to eat that is within easy walking distance: El Chico. The Mexican food is good and the prices are moderate but the portions are small.
F: There is a huge difference between a soft matteress and one that is completely worn out. The mattress I tried to sleep on was shot and sagged horribly to one side.
Memorable offerings from the free lobby breakfast included extremely stale Danish and a questionable Tang/Kool-Aid concoction posing as orange juice. The coffee was adequate. Cookies from the lobby vending machine were also stale.
