7 reviews for Comfort Inn Bossier, Bossier City
great hotel-reviews were misleading
By audrey w, 09/08/09
after reading the horrible reviews, I was worried about the smell, noise and service, but booked anyway based on location. Five minutes to The Horseshoe, Boomtown, Diamond Jacks, and the fantastic shopping at the Louisiana Boardwalk. I packed febreeze, a box fan for noise, extra pillows, everything. I needed NONE of it. The rooms were updated, clean, no smell AT ALL, and quiet. The staff was great, check in was a breeze, breakfast had everything from waffles to biscuits with sausage gravy, boiled eggs, donuts, muffins and cereal. Booked 2 rooms and both were flawless. Beds and pillows very comfy. They have shuttle service to casinos until 11:00 pm. Was so impressed, I booked a room here the next week for my husband who was on business in shreveport. I have stayed in bad hotels, this wasn't one.

Inept Front desk receptionist

The Sunday noon checkout took an hour! I waited in line behind only 2 other persons while the clerk took forever to figure out a minor billing glitch.

Dont ever stay at this motel the manager is mean.
By Suzy, 05/16/09
The room stunk really bad when we got there. Our bathroom door would not shut at all and the bathtub would not hold water so you had about three minutes to take a bath before the water ran out. Our remote wouldn't work. When I checked out I asked to speak to the manager and of course he was not there so the receptionist told us that he would be in at 9 so we left and I called at 10 he still wasnt there so I called at 11,12,1 and so on I finally got to talk to Sunny the manager at 3 and he was rude not concered about our issues at all. So if you want great customer service this is not a good place to stay.

Don't Forget Your Wallet Here
By Jessica, 08/28/08
My fiance and I stayed in this hotel on our way to MS, as we were moving from AZ. The hotel room was okay, better than the roach coach we'd stayed in the night before...it wasn't the cleanest, but it was nice enough. The next morning we left the motel and got a call later on as we were traveling saying that we had left our wallet and they had it for us at the front desk!! They then proceeded to blaim us for the shower-to-bath button not working, which hadn't been working when we got there. Because we were moving, I had a little over $600 in that wallet, and I can't tell you how much I've been kicking my scattered brain for leaving it in that room! We asked them if they could send it to our destination point in MS, and the hotel manager, Sonny, said that it was against company policy to do that. We had to set up a delivery with UPS and although I have NEVER had a problem with UPS in the past, it was nearly a week before they were able to retrieve the wallet and send it to us, and Sonny was not helpful AT ALL. Finally, a week later, I recieved my wallet with nothing but a five dollar bill inside!!! We called the hotel back to explain this to them, thinking maybe housekeeping had taken it, and since Sonny wasn't there we asked that the message be passed on to him and to have him call us back. The next day, we called the motel back AGAIN, and we were told that Sonny had come to the hotel that morning and was given the message, and then LEFT again, without calling us back!! We called Comfort Inn's guest relations and all they did for us was take a complaint! We have since then filed a report with the police, but we highly doubt we will ever see that money again....if you EVER stay here, PLEASE don't make the dumb mistake I did by leaving your wallet in this hotel...because the MANAGEMENT will take likely claim it as their own.

Nightmare at Bossier City Comfort Inn
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/03/08
The Comfort Inn at 1100 Delhi Ave. in Bossier City Louisiana is one of the most awful hotels I have visited. I made reservation to stay overnight at the hotel on May 25, 2008. After checking in at 5:00 p.m. my wife and I placed our luggage in room 125 and went to dinner at a nearby casino. We returned to the hotel at 11:00 p.m. expecting nice clean bed to get a good night sleep before heading for Texas, but instead we were disappointed to find that the bedding in our assigned room was severely stained and contained numerous strands of black and brown hair. I contacted the front desk clerk to inform her of the situation and was told that the problem would be resolved shortly. However, after waiting for over 30 minutes, I decided to visit the front desk clerk personally. The hotel clerk told me that she might have another room for my wife and me. At approximately 12:10 the clerk informed me that I could move to room 140. Unfortunately, room 140 was in nearly the same unacceptable condition as room 126. Upon entering the room I could smell a foul oder and the bed appeared as if someone had slep in it. Again I returned to the front desk and explained the situation to the clerk. At about 12:20, the clerk informed me that she was trying to contact the housekeeper supervisor to come in to make one of the rooms ready. I informed the clerk that I was not going to wait any longer for a room and requested a refund. Needless to say, a refund was not an option. The clerk stated that she would make a record of the incident for the manager. The clerk also stated that a refund would have to be approved by management and a manager would not be available until 8:00 a.m. that morning. After several attempts to contact the manager by phone and nine days later the General Manager for the hotel finally returned my phone call. When I explained that I wanted a refunds since I never stayed the night at the hotel, because of the unacceptable condition of the room I was astonish by his comment. He stated that the night clerk record reflected that I checked out at 5:19 a.m. on the morning of May 26. This was impossible since I arrive home at about 5:15 a.m. Only one of two events could have caused such discrepancy, either the GM lied or the night clerk falsified the records, both event reflect the unethical standards and behavior at the hotel. The bottom line is that I was not given a refund even though I never slept in the room and the hotel has a policy of 100% SATISFACTION GURANTEE which it refuses to honor.Choice Hotels should seriously reconsider their franchise with this hotel.

No Longer Satisfied Customer
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/20/07
The room was clean although it had an odor that was to mask other odors. On the most part our overnight stay was pleasant. However, after we departed, we were traveling down the highway to our destination in Texas when we were astonished to get a call from hotel management accusing us of STEALING a pillow!!! We had taken our own pillow inside the room as our custom is when traveling, and that is the same pillow we placed back in the car when leaving. WE DO NOT STEAL HOTEL PILLOWS!!! However, our VISA card was charged for the pillow anyway. We have stayed previously at this Comfort Inn with no problems along with two married children and their children - enjoyed the location to area attractions and that is the reason we returned when traveling thru the area this time - BUT NO MORE WILL WE STAY HERE. We are honest, working, family oriented people and do not appreciate being accused of stealing!!
