Gooseberry Trailside Suites, Two Harbors

My 5 year old son and I spent 4 nights here and absolutely loved it! The suite was spacious and clean (only exception is the refrigerator should have been more clean - there was a big dead fly in the fridge and that was kind of disgusting. And there were pieces of stuck-on food that should have been cleaned out of the fridge and freezer before new guests arrived). The bedrooms were extremely spacious and the beds are so comfortable! It even smelled good in our suite when we arrived. Scott, the owner, is very friendly and accommodating and it's obvious he puts a ton of effort into making it an enjoyable stay for his guests. In addition, the view of Lake Superior is beautiful. We visited several area waterfalls and state parks during our stay here (Split Rock Lighthouse, Temperance River, and Grand Portage State Parks, to name a few). We will visit again.

We've been taking a weekend to GTS every fall for the past 10 years. The owners are wonderfully accomodating and the setting is divine. GTS is like going to our own family cabin, the comfort without the hassles.

GTS is the best place around and totaly worth every penny. We got to go see the Split Rock Light house and Goose Beery State Park. I would totally go there if you had a chance. You can see the lake through the the trees. The cabin it's self was just amazing. Big fireplace, big beds. Fulyl stocked kitchen, bathroom. IT was jsut amazing. IF you want to watch tv or something I would suggest bringing a few movies casue the TV reception wasnt that good. Otherwise it was worth every penny i spent
