Wonderful for dinner after a day at the volcano
By Tiffany T, 08/07/08
Only one of a few restaurants in the area, I stumbled in for an early dinner after a day at the volcano. Reservations are recommended and worth it. I had braised antelope - wonderful. The atmosphere is cozy and the service superb.

Paradise in Paradise ...
By Andrew, 01/03/08
My wife and I stayed there after a hike across the Crater. This place provides Excellent service, lodging, and food. The room was fantastic. We stayed in the suite which had a wood burning fireplace and steps up to a grand bed. Towel warmers in the bathroom, Duel shower heads for a romantic Shower. Double doors to a fantastic Balcony which overlooked a garden full of Flowers endemic to the island. What more do you need in paradise? I highly recommend this place to all!!

Great Little B&B
By DC, 10/05/07
My wife and I stayed here one night during our honeymoon in September 2007. The rooms at Kilauea Lodge are warm and inviting. The breakfast was fantastic and the service is top-notch. We also ate at the restaurant for dinner and it was an outstanding meal. The lodge is about a mile outside of Volcano national park, so if you are planning on spending a day at exploring the Volcano, I would recommend spending 2 nights here as it is not only a great place to stay, but the cost is very reasonable. In short, if you are looking for a charming B&B type place at a fantastic value, then I would highly recommend Kilauea Lodge.

Best B&B ever
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/23/07
We even experienced a minor quake while staying here. When we mentioned it in the morning at breakfast, our server acted like it was no big thing. It was to us . . . we thought someone was trying to break into the room because the doorknob was shaking. What a great story to tell over and over again! Oh, and the food was wonderful!

A real "mountain Lodge" experience
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/02/06
The location is outstanding. The Lodge restaurant is a beautiful place to have dinner. It has its own special atmosphere which is hard to duplicate anywhere. I have stayed here on several ocassions and dined at the restaurant numerous times. The dining room and stone fireplace are warm and inviting and the food is quite good and unusual. I was fortunate enough to have New Year's dinner there sometime ago and I remember the food and atmosphere were wonderful--very romantic!

Beautiful rooms - quiet, convenient location
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/26/05
we stayed here two nights and loved it. The bed was huge and comfortable. Just what the doctor ordered after hiking around the lava flows all day! The breakfast is included and is a hearty delicious one at that. Definitely make sure to hit the restuarant here one night for dinner. Imaginative and tasty dishes!

Really nice bed and breakfast
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/14/05
My wife and I have stayed here several times. The rooms are very nice for the price and the breakfast is great! Good dinner too. It is also very close to Volcano national park. We've stayed at Volcano House inside the park and this is much nicer and a better value. For one it is much quieter here and just has a better atmosphere, especially if you want something more romantic. We've also brought children here and stayed in the larger rooms. It was great too!
