Gold Stars all around--and we will be returning.
I stayed at the Copley House on West Newton with my girlfriend for four days in August of 2005, and it was really the highlight of our two-week vacation. Staff at Copley were friendly, helpful, knowledgable, and personable; we checked into our room in just a few minutes and secured a safe parking spot behind the building. The location was absolutely dreamy, from being very convenient to exiting the Mass Pike to being right next to a park, a lovely neighborhood, close to a T stop, walking distance to tons of shops either in the direction of Newbury or Tremont Streets, and *even* a laundromat.
Our room was fully stocked and serviced, with clean towels and soap in our private bathroom, basic cable television, DSL and air conditioning, and the kitchenette offered appliances, dishes, and even filled ice cube trays in the freezer.
Lastly, did I mention the Value?! For such a prime location in Boston's South End, I'd think that twice what we paid would still be a bargain. Still, I think we got the best room in the whole house (the studio) and we had a great time, so I'm still floating off the good vibes.
