From the time we arrived to the day of our departure, it was an amazing trip. If you're looking for peace & quiet, it's the perfect location. We were so happy we selected The Kahala, if we had stayed in Honolulu close to Waikiki we would have been very disappointed. On the tours we took we were always the first to be picked up & the last to be dropped off, but each time we were thankful for the 15-20 minutes that put us away from the chaos. This hotel is very relaxing. The staff is attentive, the spa wonderful and the breakfast buffet was the best. It did get busy with locals on Father's Day, but you never felt crowded and there was always room at the beach and pool. However, we were unable to eat dinner because we didn't have reservations. So if you definitely want to eat at the hotel you might take this into consideration for dinner. We weren't aware the locals ate there, but we went to Sorento's a wonderful restaurant in Waikiki that night. It was wonderful having food/drink service on the beach. The Hawaiian water, near the front desk was so refreshing each afternoon. There are a lot of weddings that take place at the hotel, with the property being so beautiful, we saw atleast 7. The dolphin lagoon was nice to visit early a.m. This is a wonderful resort and we hope to return in the future.
