Super 8 Motel, Wauseon

Cosmetically they have made the appearance that it is basically clean. However the bed we slept in was so bad I could feel every spring in the mattress. Due to this I was down in my back for that 3 day stay and an additional 2 days once we left. The bathtub was not inviting due to the uncleanliness and the appearance of mold. Check out is 11:00 a.m., however we received our first call at 10:25 with a request to leave, received two follow up calls after that. My husband suffers from emphysema and requires a breathing treatment in the mornings. Due to them basically pushing us out he was not able to do that breathing treatment. Explanation to them made no difference. All we needed was an additional 15 minutes. We were told we would be charged for another day if we took those minutes to insure his health treatments were completed making it a safe travel home. No way could I in good consciousness recommend this hotel. However next door there is a very nice family restaurant that was quite nice.

Our experience was not very pleasant. The floor was dirty, the bed sheets had a mystery stain on them, there was a hole in the wall behind the nightstand that we found as we were looking for an outlet to charge our phone, and there we found ALOT of dirt. The bathroom was disgusting with dead bugs on the floor & on the windowsill. It definitely was handy coming off of 80. We were traveling back to PA from Wyoming and needed a place to sleep. But we were highly disappointed in the cleanliness. We stayed at a Super 8 in Nebraska & also South Dakota they were top of the line compared to this dump. A place that would not care to stay in ever again! Makes you wonder if they clean the rooms or wash the sheets.
