Old Town Inn, San Diego

The staff were very helpful and courteus. It was a little older but clean and comfortable. The breakfast was sufficient and the access to coffee day or night was very convenient. If you want a hot breakfast there is a very good restaurant located within walking distance, 5 min at most.The proximity to the bus and trolley was ideal as we did not rent a car. I would definitly go back to this motel. Great going Kristine, Okie, Rueban and all the other staff.

My sister and I stayed at Old Town in a few weeks ago. It was fantastic. Very convienent to Old town, trolly and bus systems. I want to thank Cristina, Reuban and Oakey for being such wonderful host. The free continental breakfast was great as well as the pool area. Thanks again for all the help. I reccommend this Inn to all visiting San Diego.

What a wonderful place to stay. We were in town for MCRD graduation and they gave us a military discount when they found out. I wish we would of found them earlier in our stay. We stayed on base the first two nights and then found them. They are very friendly, helpful staff. Located within walking distance of food & shopping. They let us check out of the rooms and held our luggage until our flight left. Just a great place to stay!!!!!!!

Motel 6 accommodations for Hilton prices. We were quoted $154 and our bill came to $185 including tax and rollaway bed. The room was awful; it smelled like cheap cleaning fluid/deodorant. There were two flimsy towels for 3 people, no shampoo, conditioner, lotion, etc., plastic cups, very small plastic tub for ice, etc. The room was literally six feet from the parking lot complete with screaming toddlers and car alarms going off. The hotel is not in Old Town; it's about 6 blocks away. The hotel is on a highway in an ugly industrial section. We were very sorry we stayed here. Don't be fooled by "rave" reviews.

walking distance to old town. very friendly and helpful staff. I will be back very soon. SEA WORLD IS JUST AROUND THE CORNER AND THE BREAKFAST THAT WAS SERVED WAS JUST YUMMY.

The place was very well maintained, with an amazingly inviting lobby for a motel. They offer wifi and wired internet connections in the breakfast room, which is open for hanging out until at least midnight. I saw friends playing cards there when I stayed. I kept running into pleasant surprises like a decent continental breakfast and friendly staff. The location is good - right across from the trolley station (San Diego's light rail: it rocks!). You can definitely get by without a rental car. There's a major retail district in walking distance, with a good grocery store, Albiertos (a local chain serving tasty Mexican food), big box stores, etc. It's affordable, not "cheap". I'd be happy to take my family there. I didn't try the pool, which was a basic rectangle. I'm sure my kids would like it.

I have a meeting in cowntown san diego . Believe it or not ,all the hotel in downtown cost over 300$. The cheaper one is either share bathroom or have dirty rooms (from other reviewer). This hotel is awesome , only 60-65 $ /night with full breakfast(also very good).FREE HIGH SPEED INTERNET . Room itself is not so small ,not luxury for sure for this price. You can walk 5 minute to trolley station and take around 20-25 minute to go to downtown. Only reason not to stay in this hotel is that if you want to spend the whole day stay in the hotel . Apart from a small swimming pool ,there is nothing to do at this hotel.

I loved this hotel. Very clean and the staff was Awesome. I can't express what a great place this was. I will never stay anywhere else when I visit San Diego.

Very helpful in finding your way aroung San Diego. Clean and very friendly staff. This is the first hotel I have ever stayed in that my back didn't hurt when I got up in the morning. About 1 mile from sea world.

We stayed four night around July 4th. The motel was in a convienient location from the airport (just a couple of miles from the rental car providers), downtown (15 min. by trolley) and shopping (a short 5 minute drive). The breakfast was good, although the breakfast room was usually crowded. The pool was small, but clean and nice. The landscaping is beautiful. The most positive aspect of the motel is the cleanliness and service. We stayed in a larger two room family suite. The kitchen was stocked and the room was very nice. Most of all it was VERY clean. The service at the front desk, as well as housekeeping was great. Everyone was helpful and accomadating. This staff seems to be proud of their motel and it shows. We enjoyed our stay and will certainly stay again if we are in the San Diego area.
