French Quarter Courtyard Hotel, New Orleans

As a Medium I can tell you that the Bourban Orleans is quite “active” with those in Spirit. One evening while taking a walk through the streets of the French Quarter my husband and I walked past the Bourban Orleans. The hotel bellman was standing outside the beautiful hotel and we began to talk. He suggested we go inside the hotel to see the beautiful ballroom. So, my husband and I took him up on the offer. As we walked up the impressive stairway to the second floor landing my husband began to open the first door we saw to the ballroom – it was locked so we walked a few steps down the same hallway to the next door. Now, as a Medium I began to “feel” the presence of those in Spirit. We reached the second door and as my husband began to open it – I bolted out of the hotel so quickly that I don’t recall even going down the stairs. When I returned outside the bellman asked me how I liked the Grand Ballroom. At this time I said to him, “I never went in the room, that place is filled with Spirit activity”. I also told him that I knew nothing about the hotel or it’s history. I then told him I was a Medium. He began to tell me the history of the hotel which confirmed what I felt and saw… So, if you have always wanted to stay in a Grand but haunted Hotel this is the place for you…. sleep well.

the room was bad. the room was filled of smoke. there were hairs on the toilet seat. the shower didn't work.

We stayed for a week recently and were very happy overall. Owner and staff were very warm and friendly, and addressed any problems we had right away. The property is undergoing renovation, and definitely has its quirks, but we felt safe and the room was quiet and inviting. Housekeeping left a little to be desired, as bathrooms were not very clean. Not horrible, but could have been cleaner. I would recommend to someone who is not looking for big hotel ammenities, and doesn't mind a bit of character. I would stay again.

At first I was a little upset about the room we had. The phone was broke, so I called the desk and instead of just sending in a new phone they had us switch rooms. The rooms aren't the biggest but they are old New Orleans style, so I liked it. The walls are not very thick, and you can hear "things" happening in the rooms around you. If you like the excitment of ghost this hotel is a must...I saw a lady walk on the balcony and then just vanish...It was awesome =) The hotel staff treated us nice, and there was a security guard on duty everynight, to keep things safe. It is located very close to the french quarter shops and it is only 3 blocks for Bourbon. Even though a few things went wrong, I would recommend this hotel for people who would like to have the New Orleans feeling, it is inexpensive, and The pool was amazing. This was my first trip to New Orleans, but when I go back, I am planning on staying at this Hotel again.

This place was a joke. We were told we would get a free cocktail upon arrival....No bar.....we were told free parking...not free....there was no hot water...no A/C...ice machine did not work...soada machine did not work...pool was disgusting...people at the hotel were rude, and the phone did not even work in our room. Pay an extra $20-$30 and stay anywhere else but here.....

My husband and I love the location and the overview. But hidden charges pop up at checkout. Like there parking area was not free and was never brought up of a charge if use. The room was nice but we are not fans of cold Showers. Not once did the water reach a slight of warmth. Would not Recommend.

First off the front desk was a little unorganized but the place was the perfect price for traveling on a budget. Not to mention inexpensive parking which is key in new orleans! Parking was also very guarded so you dont have to worry about your vehicle getting broken into. The hotel itself was gorgeous! The rooms were classic new orleans style which was wonderful and the pool view was fantastic. I highly recommend this hotel. Any review on here that might be bad had to have been coming from someone with extremely high standards, oh and you pet lovers, this hotel is pet friendly.

Pls read all the reviews and just stay away from this hotel. I am tired of it being sold out every time I want a room here. So please simply go and pay 5 times more so you don't have to walk 3 blks. Pls go were the rooms might be bigger. Pls go where the staff treats you like a customer and not like family. Go on down the road to a place that reeks of big city hotel and not of the real life in NOLA. And if you still say NEW R LEANS, pls just stay home.

Please don't ever, ever, ever, go to this hotel. It seems like a good deal but it is NOT! There are bummmmmmmmmmmmmmmssssssss on the corner with their beer or whaterver it is they are drinkn, and the hotel is dirt as h-e-double hockey sticks. It reeks the smoke as soon as you walk in. And the walk to burbon is long so i say again do not stay here!!!!!

Beautiful architecture and the central location were the best perks. I also found the concierge service to be excellent.
