Budget Inn, Dayville

We rented the room with the jacuzzi when we filled the jacuzzi the water was black when we empty the jacuzzi the bottom looked like mud when we ask asstants the staff came and look at the jacuzzi and the guy and his wife had an arugment that she didnt clean the jacuzzi, she left the room crying and screaming while accusing us of taking a bath in it. The man told us there was nothing wrong with it water was suppost to look like that. When we ask for our money back he told us he would have to call his manger. The manger told him to give us our money back, the man then started yelling at us in some other language through our money at us and told us never to come back again. We then ask for the manger number and he would not give it to us. They then followed us outside yelling and screaming at his wife. That is no why to treat customers I would really like to speak to the manger and have them fired.......

We stayed there for a conference. You can't beat the price, definately a bargain. It did not have fancy accomodations or lots of amenities definately but our rooms were very clean, the beds were super comfortable and the owner was a nice guy. He is doing major renovations to most of the suites. We stayed in one of the older ones, but he gave us a tour of the ones being remodled and they will be really nice and will include faux hardwood flooring in the rooms. This hotel is pet friendly for well behaved pets which was a plus for us. It is easy to find off the interstate and there is a plaza with a Target, Petco, several restaurants etc about 2 minutes away.

My friend recently stayed at the Budget Inn in Dayville, CT. She will be writing her own review, but I wanted to comment on the RUDENESS of the gentleman who answered the phone. I had to call her on the second night of her stay and it was close to midnight EST. I was told by the gentleman to not call anymore after 11 PM. I have never heard of such a thing. What if it had been an emergency, which thank GOD it wasn't. I worked the front desk of a hotel for two years and also did the night audit, and I answered the phone and transferred calls at all hours of the night. That is the right of the guest to have a phone available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This gentleman was quite rude, and after hearing of my friend's ordeal at this hotel, I certainly would never recommend it to ANYONE.

JUST STAY AWAY! THEY ARE SO RUDE! We waited about 30 minutes to just check in because he was busy, and then our room was dirty, the bed was not made, and the jacuzzi was terrible! AWEFUL PLACE!

I guess you get what you pay for. The t.v was hanging on to the stand by a thread. The whirlpool tub in the room was so dirty it discolored the washcloth. There was no bottom sheet on the bed, it was a top sheet that didn't even fit so the bare mattress was exposed. The bed was extremely uncomfortable. The heat did not work so we froze to death. The clerk was rude. And the charge you for everything that the possibly can. I would not send my worst enemy to a place like this.

Well....if you like a shoebox with a commode that doesn't work, NO ICE MACHINE, water in the whirlpool that was so filthy it made the washcloths black, charges for every time you picked up the phone, not only for local calls but to dial an outside line to use a calling card you got charged 50 cents.. AND a rude manager that told people who called me NOT to call again after 11 pm then this is the place for you. I would never recommend this place to anyone if it was free and certainly not for 70 a night in the middle of nowhere.
