Hampton Inn Asheville Tunnel Road, Asheville

We visit Asheville several times a year and after staying at many different hotels, (ranging from upscale to economical) we have stuck with this hampton. Every time we decide to try somewhere new just out of curiousity, we always end up disappointed in comparison and coming back. For the money, this hotel has the best value. Its convenient and we are always happy with our stay. The rooms are cleaned properly and the staff is always courteous. The mattresses are high end quality(a must for me.) The breakfast is fantastic, although dont wait til the very last moment or you cant expect all the food choices to still be available. Thats who I normally seeing complaining about the breakfast - the ones that showed up 5 mins before breakfast bar is closed, then get ticked because the pickings are slim. The pool/hot tub and suana are very nice and indoors inside a large glassed area. Convenient to the mall, I-40, downtown, and the movie theatre is two blocks. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel.

We stayed at this hotel last weekend and had a great time. The ladies at the front desk were so helpful with reccommending things to do and our kids loved the indoor pool!

I placed an online reservation for this hotel early last week for the weekend of 7/11/08. I cancelled the reservation later that same day and received a confirmation number for the cancellation. I looked at my credit card statement online this past monday morning to find that this hotel had charged $200 me as a no show. I have spoken with Hampton Inn corporate and then had to talk to the hotel. This was apparently a glitch in their system - worldwide reservations not talking to the individual hotel, but no one will do anything to make this right. Beware. If you ever cancel a reservation with this hotel, hang onto any and all information until at least a week after your intended hotel stay.

Was told check in was at 2 p.m. We sat and waited till 3:30p.m. No trash bags in trash cans. Room smelled funny. Breakfast was below par. We lost three days here
