Arbor Suites Medical Mile, Springfield

It's amazing what new ownership will do for a hotel. Yes it WAS pretty awful when it was a Crystal Suites Hotel. Wow what a change. I'm happy to stay there now. It's clean and comfortable - great value too. Some of the renovation in the lobby was not complete but should be in a couple of weeks. When that's finished on my next visit I'll probably give it 5 stars. Don't be fooled by the old reviews I'll visit again.

This is one of the worst places I have stayed. Very very dirty. Toilet had flecks of pee on the lid and shower looked dirty. Had not been vacuumed and when I pulled back the bed spread the linens were stained. The housekeeper said they had had a bed bug infestation as well. Save yourself the hassle and stay somewhere else.

My associate and I had submitted a proposal to Dan Smoke, the manager at Crystal Suites on or about 5/15/08. Dan accepted the proposal to inspect the hotel for wireless internet problems. The proposal stated the rate would be $100.00 per hr. for 2 men and that we expected 5 hours of work. We did the work on 5/19/08 while Dan was present and prepared a report with the issues that needed fixed to fix the problem. I personally submitted 3 bills and have made many attempts via phone to speak with dan. On 8/11/2008, I spoke with dan and he stated that he (Dan) was taking over the bills because Toby Olsen, who used to handle that, was no longer with the company. He said that he has told his superiors that this bill needs to be taken care of and all that was needed was for the check to be signed. Dan also stated that I was to call him on 8/14/08 and that he should have the check by then. I have called several times and had spoken with Autumn, who told me that Dan would send the check, this was on 8/8/08 at 1:50pm. I have also spoken with Molly and Brandy, both of them have always stated that Dan was out running errands, in a meeting, not there and I belive Dan is avoiding me. It has been nearly 3 months since this service was done and it is obvious that Dan has no intention of paying me for the services. I also submitted a proposal (that Dan requested) for material and labor to perform the recommended repairs. I have complied with all of Dan's requests and I think he is blowing me off.

The only good thing about our stay was the location. The room stunk and the bed had little black hairs all over the sheets. We complained to the man at the front desk and he said their were no refunds and he could not give us another room because they were full, which was a lie because there were only three cars in the parking lot at the time. We had planned on staying 3 nights and couldn't stand one. We checked out and came to find out they charged our card for three nights. So now I am waiting for some one named Toby to call me back. We have been witing for this call for 2 weeks. I will never recomend this hotel to anyone.

I travel for a living and I seem to stay in Springfield at least twice a month and usually on the north side of town by the interstate, which I have always been disapointed and un happy with any of the hotels there. Well this time I was coming up from Branson and found this hotel, Big rooms and clean not like the north side. The breakfast was a pleasent suprise to me, and what I needed to get my day off right. This is where I will be staying everytime I go through Springfield.

1. Toliet took 5 min. to fill before you could flush again. 2. Out of apple juice at breakfast, out of pastries, out of biscuits and gravy had to ask desk for more biscuits and gravy, then when he brought it out it was cold. 3. Had 4 people staying in the room had only 2 wash cloths and bath towels ask front desk for 2 extra bath towels was informed they were out. 4. Hot tub outside by the pool had a small amount of dirty stagnent water in it. 5. Shower rod pulled loose from wall. 6. Overall the conditions have gone down from the time when we first stayed there,felt liked the staff could care less. Was talking to another guest and they felt the same way said this was the last time they would stay there.

The location, the price and the service is very good. The rooma are clean but the outside needed work the last time we were there.
