Great Hotel - Best in Williams by far
By ,
I stayed here for 14 days recently and it was a great experience. From the minute you check in with the very friendly, very helpful, very professional front desk crew to the brekfast bar ladies to the maids - just an all around great group of folks who seem to really enjoy customer service. The van tours that they receommend are first rate and take you to places not seen by other tours of the canyon. They seem toknow what brings folks and really enjoy taking care of you and steering you toward the right companies for your canyon/sight seeing experiences. Listen to the front desk girls and they will take care of you. My room was immaculate - very clean - very clean smelling - bathroom tiles and fixtures looked brand new. Bed was very comfortable. Venelation system in the room was clean and top notch. No noise - no funny smells. I had a first floor room and heard no noise from upstairs or from the sides. Really nice breakfast bar and very good restaurant. Nice fire pit ourside for the big bon-fire effect everynight - nice to sit around and enjoy as the cocktail waitresses bring you your favorite beverage or snack. I have stayed at the other major chains in Williams but I will be staying at the Best Western on all my return trips. Plus this place is up on the mountain above the town away from allt he noisee and hassle of town but still very close. I even think it borders the national forest. It has some great hiking trails around the hotel with great views of the forest, lakes and wild animals. This place is a hidden gem just on the outskirts of town.

Clean, Clean, Clean
By ,
The staff was friendly and competent. The room that we stayed in was so clean that I let my children take a bath instead of a shower!!!! The room had been remodeled recently and was a pleasant suprise. We also ate breakfast at the hotel and is was a great way to get our morning started. No lines, plenty of food and help yourself to whatever you needed!

Pleasant stay
By ,
I reserved this hotel for me & my 2 children on our way to the Grand Canyon and Sedona. From reading some of the reviews I actually tried to rebook at another hotel with no luck since it was during spring break. We checked in & much to our surprise our room was clean and comfortable. The only downfall was no elevator but the continental breakfast was adequate. Very close to the Grand Canyon Railway. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and Route 66 has alot of good food to offer.

Nothing Spectacular
We were able to get the last room (king bed with a pull-out sofa) so were were very pleased. The price was reasonable, the room was clean. The pool, hot-tub and lounge were all closed. I presume because it was pre-season. We stayed 3 nights, but next time will stay in Tusayan.

Spacious Room
By ,
We called Best Western while we were on our way without a reservation. They were very friendly. We asked to see the room first, and it was SPACIOUS and clean. It surprised me because I didn't expect a Best Western to be this good for a 2 or 3 star hotel. They were very helping in giving me directions to where I wanted to go. I will definitely stay there again.

Worst Best Western
By ,
We chose this as an access point for the Grand Canyon. Based on previous good luck with Best Western for basic accommodations, we thought we'd try this hotel. Given the relatively steep price ($125) we expected a better than average BW experience. Despite being in a non-smoking room, a strong smell of smoke permeated the room (after we checked in - it was fresh smoke from other rooms, not just stale smell). When we reported this to the front desk, they just shrugged and said that doesn't make sense. Well, maybe not, but it happened and was not desirable, especially since my wife was pregnant. The noise from the other rooms was unbearable with every footstep from the rooms and hall above heard clearly. Finally, the "breakfast" consisted of a paltry selection of cereal and sweet buns, with some juice and coffee. Hardly worth mentioning as an "included" extra. We strongly recommend that you avoid this hotel. There must be far better value elsewhere in the area. This indpendently owned hotel is just making money off the Best Western name.

Very relaxing place
By ,
The hotel is very clean and comfortable. The staff were warm and friendly. As the hotel is located just outside of Williams it is quiet and nestled in a wooded area. Extra effort has been made to give the place the character of it's surroundings with a big fireplace in the foyer and a great outdoor fire pit for cool evening get togethers. We found both of these warm touches added extra charm. If you want to see the Grand Canyon or are going to Sedona/Cottonwood this is a great place to stay!
