Fairfield Inn Temple, Temple

Check in was fine about 4: 00 P. M. Arrived at the motel around 7:30 P. M. My wife had surgery at S&W so she went to bed early. She put her feet under the sheets and felt something hard. I looked and it was the cover of a chocolate drink probably from Wendys next door. This leads me to believe that the bed was not changed from the previous occupants. I was just too tired to complain. Next morning I went to get the breakfast and there was only a few muffins left. The ladt attending was downright rude to me so I grabbed a couple of muffins and went back to the room.

I recently took an aging parent to Temple for surgery at Scott & White, which necessitated a two night stay. When I made the reservations by phone, I requested ground floor accommodations, preferably close together. When we arrived, my parent had been given a ground-floor handicapped room, and I was directly across the hall - wonderfully convenient! I used the hot tub twice, and the pool area was immaculate - an abundance of clean towels, and the water in both the hot tub and the pool was sparkling. Check-in and check-out were speedy, efficient and courteous. Advice on local traffic was offered, as construction was ongoing on the frontage road in front of the hotel. The construction, while noisy when outside, was not noticeable when inside the room, and we were at the end of the hotel close to the road. Everything in the rooms was comfortable and very, very clean. Maid service was efficient and non-intrusive. The manager was courteous, friendly and outgoing. The self-serve breakfast options were typical of most "sleep, eat and run" motor inns, and actually better than many in which I've stayed. Except for a somewhat reticient (borderline surly) night clerk, it was a perfect place to stay for my parents' surgery. In the past, we've stayed at other Temple Inns, but in future, will only stay here. Much, much better than all the rest.
