Hill View Motel, Shakopee

Nice sized refrigerator and television, decent furnishings. Maintenance could be better, but everything worked fine. Only one real complaint. Smoking rooms are across the hall from non-smoking rooms, at least in the wing I was in. That's fine if there is no one smoking in one of those rooms.

The first night I requested a non smoking room, I ignored all the maintenance that was going on such as recarpeting and painting. The room was decent and was tolerable. The next day I asked for a smoking room and this room was so disgusting. The mattresses were yellow and there was no towels or remote control. There was a hole in the wall about the size of a quarter that looked straight outside and the door was hard to lock and wasn't seated correctly which left a huge gap between the hinges and the trim leaving a gap that anyone could have looked in.

This place is impossible to miss and it is a very decent place to stay the night. the owners/managers are really cute. It's a clean, cheap place to stay.

It is a modest place, but the price is exceptionally fair and the staff is very sweet. Each room has a QUEEN size bed, a fridge, a microwave, personal heating and air conditioning and cable tv with free HBO. The rooms are quaint, clean and simple. It is an incredible value!!

This was the most disgusting place i have ever been to the owners are rude people. they even up the price when we arrived. The towels were dirty, like someone had used them before us.The bathroom was so gross like it had not been cleaned.The extra pillows they gave us looked like there own personal pillows. We ask for a non smoking room as we open the door a thick smell of cigerett hit us in the face and the blankets even said smoking room #. I would never wish this place on anyone Stay away it could ruin a vacation.

This is a wonderful, homey and quaint motel that is an incredible value. The manegers and owners are very kind people. The entire establishment is maintained by a family and they are also very kind. The rooms are clean, simple and have little extras that the bog hotels don't even have. Every room has queen size beds, personal air conditioners, heaters, free HBO and cable. There is a vending area and a coin operated laudry area. The place is very quite and close to the highway. The rates were very reasonable. Great Plce!

First, we were quoted $45.00 by the lady. When we get there the price changes to $63.00. They said there was a misunderstanding. The room itself was absolutely outdated and filthy. We had no hot water in the sink and the tub(which was full of someone elses hair), had to run for at least 5 minutes before the hot water would kick in. The mirror was cracked as well as the paint and ceiling. The floor didn't look like they vacuumed from the previous renters. For that kind of money, one could stay at a Best Western, Super 8, etc.
