Go off-season and get spoiled!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/4/06
I went with a bunch of friends in April 04. This time of year is considered "off season" and I highly recommend it! Not only did we have the entire hotel to ourselves, but it seemed the entire island was pretty quiet (which was nice for me not to have the beaches crowded and many people there to just party). Also, if you go during "off season", you not only get an amazing rate at the hotel (I think we payed about $35 euro a night) but you also get the beaches virtually to yourselves. The downside is to going during this time is alot of the activities are closed during this time on the island. You will need to take a taxi ride to get to the heart of Mykonos Island although there are 2 beautiful beaches a short walk away. The hotel itself provided complimentary slippers and robes for their guests which was a great surprise. Many rooms have balconies with a great view. The only time we ate at the hotel was for brunch one morning, which wasn't anything to brag about (but then again, it could be that way because it was off-season). The staff is very helpful and pleasant. The weather during "off season" is just warm enough to wear bathing suits. If you want a quiet relaxing time - this is the way to go!
