WARNING:RUN AND RUN FAST!!!!!!!!!-A MUST READ!!!!
By Alisha, 1/22/09
I made a huge mistake of choosing this place to for wedding reception to take place. They cannot keep up with the quotes they give ( I luckily had e-mails for proof, their staff act as if you owe them something for actually doing their jobs, their upper management has lied to me twice now, the pictures on their website are totally misleading (they fail to let you know that you have to go elsewhere to purchase the items to make it look the way it does on their site, they changed the name of their hotel (which made me waste $500 on my invitations-may i add i had my event reserved for 6 months prior to the name change so they had plenty of time to make me aware this may be a possibility. When they did announce their name change they did it in a forwarded e-mail which violated every last person's privacy-I never authorized them to let any of those people know I was having an event there!!!. Also, they make you sign a contract prior to tasting their food or otherwise you have to pay $25 per plate!!!! Not to mention we have had to tell them exactly how to prepare our food in order to actaully make it taste good!!!! They want all of their money up front prior to the event but yet we accidently overpaid and they refuse to return the overpayment until after my event!!!! These people have big time issues, and are VERY money hungry...and overpriced! I am so not looking forward to my event but i am being forced to have it there. I have to either have it there...or otherwise pay them $2,000 for breaking my contract for the above service!!!!! Lastly, the manager of the hotel has told me twice that due to all of my complaints its best I get a FULL refund and take my business elsewhere, which is what i have been begging to do-but then he turns right around and goes back to them keeping my $2,000-all i can say is run while you can. These people are crazy, money hungry, inconsistent, disorganized, disfunctional, and will rob you of your money for service they dont even deserve a penny for. I am not even looking forward to what's supposed to be the happiest day of my life! :( RUN WHILE YOU CAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

bad experence
By Carol, 2/17/08
When I made my reservation with Oasis In and Convention Center, I requested a pool side, non-smoking room. I got neither. (1) The purpose of my visit to Springfield, Mo., was to visit my grandchildren and stay in a hotel with a pool they liked. Of all the pools they had been in, they like the one at the Oasis the best. When I arrived, I was told that a wing of pool side rooms had to be closed and that I had been up-graded to a suite. The suite was on the top floor and the very end of a long hall, the farthest from the pool that I could have been. I assumed the rooms had been closed due to some technical difficulty. I’m not so sure that was the case. While swimming in the pool, there appeared to be activity is both wings so now I think that “closed” must mean that they would not be honoring people who booked at a reduced price. (2) The only thing about the room that made it a non-smoking room was that they removed the ashtrays. I have allergies, I can tell these things, besides they forgot one ashtray. They even left a blanket in the bed with a cigarette burn in it. Someone was not even smart enough to turn the blanket around so the burn would be at the bottom and less noticeable. (3) If their goal was to never have me back, they did an excellent job.

Bed Bug Bites?
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/25/07
I am not sure, but I am covered in lil pimple-looking itchy bites that I am currently online researching because I fear they are bed bug bites!!! I only stayed for two nights and just got home yesterday, but I certainly didn't have these bumps before I went to Oasis. It seemed like each time I got out of bed, even when I just went to lie down for a bit after a work conference, I was covered in more bumps! BEWARE!!

One of the nicest Hotels I have EVER visited
By Heather, 5/7/07
I came to Springfield for a relaxing weekend and that's exactly what I got. I was pleasantly surprised by the room I stayed in. It was tastefully decorated and very clean and comfortable. It was on the ground level and facing the atrium with a private patio. The front desk people were friendly and helpful and it took no time at all to check in even though there was a large group checking in at the same time. The restaurant was 'hip' and fun and the food was VERY good and reasonably priced. I did not have breakfast here so can't comment on that. The pool and jacuzzi area was clean and was closed at a decent hour so guests were not disturbed in the evenings. The hotel is in a convenient location and easy to locate off I-44. Overall this was an exceptional place to stay; my only complaint would be that I did not get to stay long enough.

Mold Problem?
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/28/07
Front desk person checking us in had no idea how to change a cc from the one we reserved with to the one we actually used. took 45 min to check in. Changed rooms 3 times because of horrible mold problems in the rooms,. I would think this is a very dangerous health issue, left very ill and a day early. Checking out, front desk person had no idea how to credit a credit card for the amount owed to us for days we were not staying, we gave up after 25 minutes and left. Would never return, Pool is very nice, Breakfast is ok, toaster and microwave never worked all week. Although the pool is fantastic, you dont sleep in the pool and the standard rooms are not habitable. Horrible internet connection.

Don't come early
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/30/06
Have stayed there for many years with no problems. They have a new manager as of April 2006. I guess they are needing money to help pay for the renovations. The check in time is 3:00 PM and if you try and check in early they will charge you an additional half day fee.

I WILL NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/27/06
I had a party there with several rooms reserved, I was supposed to get my rooms at 3:00 but they took their time cleaning the rooms, watching tv,joking around, while my guest all needed to use the restrooms. Also the hot tub was broken, the floors was dirty in the atrium area. Also the front desk clerk was not friendly at all, plus breakfast ends at 9:oo a.m Needliness to say,I was not impressed... I will never stay there again.....
