I was sent with programmed keys to my room 3 times before they actually worked. The room was nasty and all the furniture was out of date. I see now why what I thought was a good deal was actually not so good.

My daughter and her fiance' drove over 6 hours from MS through Oxford on their way to Monroe, North Carolina. The reservation had been made in my name with my American Express credit card; it took 2 young men 30 minutes to change this from my name to my daughter's; and this was after trying to position a 26 foot Penske rental truck with an Altima dollied on the back....that was the main reason we chose the motel because the website said "RV parking." They had to use the Best Western parking lot, far away from their room. By the way, they searched for the room for another 15 minutes, because each one they pulled up was "dirty." They will be making this trip many times after they move to Monroe...but they will not be staying at the Howard Johnson again.
