Bad Bad Bad
By oh no, 9/24/09
Owners were very polite but this isn't a B@B by any standard. No hair dryers in room, a small cane back uncomfortable chair in room, no room TV, shower handle broken, shower door leaked, not AC in room, very hot and uncomfortable and the breakfast could be purchased any any corner C-store. Will not be back and will not recommend to anyone. Not much for alot of money.

Horrible
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/11/07
I can't believe that someone would try to pass this place as a B&B. When in fact it is the worst version of a roach motel. The owner was friendly, yes... They obviously have no idea what a vacuum cleaner is. The sheets were dirty and had some sort of body fluid in them. The toilet had nasty black ring around the inside, the shower looked like someone had painted over the mold they were too lazy to clean.... I don't understand how they could have a 4 star review..... I felt dirty being in that room.... even though we only stayed for a short 10min... We could not take it...we bolted out of there faster than you could say...dissenfectant.

We Drove Home!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/10/07
After seeing the website and staying at other B&Bs in the past we were excited about staying at The Anderson House. The owner was very kind and receptive to our late arrival time. When we arrived however, we found that the house wasn't really a B&B that we were expecting. The house looks nice from the front but the actual lodging is a shabby motel tacked on the back. We found the bathroom filthy. My daughter was near tears after seeing it. The sheets were NOT cleaned. There were crumbs or dirt or something under the top sheet. The bed was broken and sagged terribly when sat on. The carpet was stained all over and there was a mixture of live and dead bugs on the floor. Even though we had spent a long day on the lake, and were very tired, we turned in our key and headed home. It is a 4 hour drive and we arrived home in the wee hours of the morning. It was no fun, but a much better alternative than bedding down at this place. Very very disappointing.

Very Disappointing Stay!
By Leslye, 6/25/07
Very dirty room and bathroom. Nasty, full trashcans outside rooms with flies. Such a disappointment! We won't give Anderson House a second chance! Please don't let the wonderful reviews fool you...they weren't written by customers!

Anderson House was the nastiest place I have ever seen!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/29/07
I would never stay at this place!! They had not washed our sheets (which contained DNA, hair, bug and other stuff). The pictures do not really represent the discusting motel they actually put you in out back! The carpet was gross, I would have never walked on it barefooted. One of the ladies wanted to sleep on a bench in the park instead. Had we not found another place to stay I would have drove home or slept in the car. I can't believe that the people of Heber Springs have not closed this place. How embarrassing!

Budget B&B
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/2/06
Had a good time. Owners were friendly and we really felt at home. Definately an older structure that is showing its age. Good view of the park.

We loved it!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/15/06
The owners were so kind.I was 14 weeks pregnant and still suffering from severe morning sickness and they were willing to prepare whatever I felt like I could eat and the food was great. The rooms are a little small but that is to be expected from an older property. Everything was clean and nice and very cozy. We enjoyed eating breakfast with the other guests at the big dining table. It was like visiting family but with more privacy. Shannon C.

We Are Regulars/Dianna & Rick
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/31/05
The Owners are down to earth people, who don't just give you a key and disapear. They make you feel welcome....Breakfast is prepared with a "special chef touch" and always delicious. Romantic meals can be setup in a private dining corner, if you give them ample notice. We have found their service and cleanliness above other hotels we visited before making the Inn our home away from home. The park across the street occasionally offers entertainment...but just staying in one of the top rooms facing it on a rainy day is TO WISH FOR. We plan on staying in each room atleast once...each one decorated with a special warm country homelike touch...Yes it needs renovation...but the atmosphere...of a warm country home will fill your heart and make up the difference. Dianna & Rick K.

Could be nice but needs renovation
The owners are cordial, and the breakfast is delicious. The room we received, however, was of much less quality than the photographs on the website or physical brochure suggested. If you prefer nice B&B accommodations, ask to see an available room before you commit. If you only need a place to shower and sleep, the budget motel atmosphere of some of the rooms may be acceptable.
