DO NOT STAY HERE.....
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/23/11
This place should be closed during renovation. Do not book a reservation here They are charging full price for a hotel that is basically a construction site. There is absolutely no lobby. Upon exit of evelator to my floor, I was greeted by hallways with no carpet. In the morning, I found the same hallway filled with sofas, beds, lamps, mini frigs, and other furnishings stacked to floor to ceiling. this place is an absolute mess

Great Visit!!! Above expectations.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/22/11
Just stayed at Embassy and left my car there while I attended a business convention in Las Vegas. On the night prior to our trip, my frend and I had dinner downstairs. The chef was amazing. Although we only had pizza, we asked to split a dessert. The chef insisted we "try" a sample of his new creation.....sweet potato cheesecake. It was wonderful. On our return, we waited less than 10 minutes for the shuttle after calling. The driver cleaned off 9 inches of snow from my compact car, cleaned the snow behind the wheels, and helped my move the car. WAY BEYOND WHAT WAS EXPECTED!!!

What a dive!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/15/09
Icky. My room was dingy. The hotel is hard to find and very dangerous to turn into right off an off ramp. Room was not ready at check in time and we had to wait over an hour. There is free draft beer for happy hour but the bar atmosphere is less to be desired. Not enough parking! Our car was broken into! Steve S.

Don't Wait for the Airport Shuttle
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/8/07
I had read on their website that they had a 24-hour airport shuttle, and on arrival to STL airport I headed out to the "hotel shuttle" area on the curb. After seeing every other hotel chain's shuttle go by 1-2-3 times, I went back inside and noticed a "courtesy phone" installation near the exit. I punched the number for the Embassy Suites and was told they would be "right there" to get me. 30 minutes and another phone call later, still no-show, and I had to convince the Crowne Plaza driver to give me a lift. At check-in, the manager on-duty told me I should have known that they only run the shuttle every 30 minutes "on request only." The room was nice and clean. It was a Saturday night, and the hotel had allowed an extended family to rent a meeting room for a birthday party, and I guess their fee included the right for 50 children to roam anywhere in the hotel they desired (pool, fitness center, stairwells, etc.) No one on hotel seemed to care, or to clean up after all the mess. Wireless internet costs $10 in guest rooms per day, and connection signal was weak. If staying near the airport is all you want, I would not spend any extra money to select this hotel.

Great value and service!
By AnnP, 3/18/07
We stayed at this Embassy Suites for a baseball tournament and it was great! The staff was really friendly and even printed out a mini-directory for us including restaurants, laundry facilities, batting cages and more. Breakfast each morning was great and the evening reception was a nice way to relax after a busy day. The kids enjoyed the pool table in the lobby and the indoor pool. The rooms were fresh and clean and the beds very comfortable. Everyone from the front desk to housekeepers greeted us all the time and made us feel very welcome. I would definitely recommend this hotel!

Service the best
By juliel, 10/28/06
From the time we walked in the door,we were greeted with the very best anyone could ask for. There were 13 of us and the service offered to us from the front desk, the restaurant/bar, to the maintenance staff.Management should pat themselves on the back, for the great job they have done and for having such a wonderful staff. Thankyou

For the price I expected more!
By Indygal81, 3/2/06
We arrived at 4:30pm and the rooms that were supposed to be available by 3pm were not yet ready. We had to wait about 30-45 minutes to be assigned a room. The staff was cordial but not really helpful. We were not told about free cocktails in the lounge, etc. We had to find this out on our own. Once we got to our room, the door was broken and we couldn't open it. 15 minutes later a staff member opened it for us. Apparently there was some "trick" to opening it. The rooms were nice enough. We trudged down to the pool which was completely filled with screaming children and the hot tub was so full that not even 1 small person could fit. We waited a few hours and went back. It was less crowded but a kid had broken a pool light so the pool was closed. The staff let people eat and drink in the hot tub and there was food floating around. Overall I expect more for such an expensive hotel. It is very awkward to get to, it was really crowded, and the service was just fair. Also, there was a cucumber slice that laid in our hallway for nearly 24 hours. When we left, the cucumber was still in the middle of the hall. Kind of tacky for a place that is supposed to be 5 star.

Good experience
By JH, 7/31/05
The staff was wonderful to us. The free breakfast buffet was a time and money saver, not mention, delicious. I was very impressed with the food at the hotel. The kids loved staying here also.
