10 reviews for Spring Valley Inn, Spring Green
Has improved tremendously!!!!!!!!
By traveler, 08/18/09
We have been staying at the Spring Valley Inn for years. When we came this year we were very delighted with the changes they have made. They have all new bedding, new televisions, and there hot breakfast was a great addition. Last year it was bagels, bread and coffee, which was ok, but this year they have english muffins, eggs, sausage, cereal, bagels, mini muffins, coffee, and orange juice. We have always enjoyed staying here, and will cotinue to do so.

Motel with touch of bed and breakfast
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/16/09
We have stayed at the Spring Valley Inn for the past six or seven years for performances at the American Players Theater about a mile down the road. The Wisconsin river and Talisen are just another half mile from the motel. The pool and exercise rooms are nicely done. The recent addition of a hot complimentary breakfast in the restaurant is a welcome addition. One thing worth mentioning is that when the theater schedule comes out in the spring, the weekends do sell out. We've had friends who were late in calling and had to stay in less convenient locations. We love the area and this motel. We'll be back next year.

What A Gem
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/31/09
We stayed at Spring Valley Inn the weekend of July 24th, 25th and we loved our visit here as much as the tour of Taliesin. The Quiet atmosphere and overall ambiance was very enjoyable. The Frank Lloyd Wright feel of the hotel is very obvious with all the art and furniture ect. We are especially enjoyed Pat's Place and the menu. The complementry hot breakfast was the first rate! We'll certainly stay at Spring Valley Inn again.

ALSO DISSAPOINTED
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/07/09
We were disappointed with this motel. The alarm clockwas not working so we called the front desk(9PM) for a wake up call but on one was there so they asked that we leave a message. We asked that they give us a wake up call at 7:45. No one called and we missed our appointment the next day. I called the front desk and complained and all he said was "I guess someone missed the call" with NO apalogy. In addition this was the worst continental breakfast we ever experienced after traveling through all states and 31 countries. No cereal,no fruits,no juices, only caffeinated coffee and couple of rolls. The chairs in the room are very uncomfortable as they are designed by Frank Lolyd Wright without any consideration for comfort. Our recommendation don't stay there. .

Disappointed
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/17/07
The advertised rate of $50 really was $65. The continental breakfast was on the modest side, it only included bagels, banana bread and coffee. Other things such as cereal, juice and fruit were not available. We ate in the attached restaurant and thought the menu items were over priced. On the positive, they did have a nice pool, hot tube and work out area.

Will come back again
By travel qa, 11/08/06
The location was perfect and the staff went out of their way to assist us with information on ski packages, tours and shopping. The service was great! The complimentary breakfast was a real treat and a money saver. We met other guests from all over the United States and enjoyed visiting with them.

Best Service and Location
By Mason, 07/14/06
Spring Valley Inn is the by far the best place to stay if you're interested in visiting APT, FLW, or The House on the Rock. It's the closest hotel to all of these places, and it has the best pool!!! Some of the employee's were very helpful while others were not. The thing I liked most was the restaraunt on the premises and the beatiful views!!!!

Nice place for the price
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/19/06
The rooms were nice sized, clean, reasonably appointed. The chairs were my only picking point - they were designed by a masochist. While food, snacks, and drinks were available, proper dining requires a five to ten minute drive back into town. There are a couple of nice restaurants and a truck stop diner at the main intersection. It has internet connections, an indoor pool, sitting areas, a playground area outdoors, and the usual small amenities like ice. Location is a personal issue. The local area has a few things to see, but you need to reach out 30 minutes plus to see the sights. I happen to have local business to attend to so for me it is fine. Madison is about 40 to 45 minutes down the road, so you can find anything you like over there if you like the drive.

Spring Valley Inn gets an A+
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/28/04
We stayed at the Spring Valley Inn on December 25, 2004 for one night in order to visit the House on the Rock on the 26th. Although the hotel staff was off for the night they made it very easy to get keys and enjoy our stay. It was a very quiet hotel with a huge swimming pool and hot tub, the fitness room is also extravagant. The TV is probably 20" but the room was in very good shape. And the hotel is about 10 minutes from the House on the Rock. I can't stress how inexpensive this hotel was for the quality we received. We payed $50 when the House on the Rock Inn wanted $130.

Perfect!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/17/04
We went for a fall weekend get-away. There is a fire pit there and we sat out for hours enjoying all of the stars. In the morning we stuffed ourselves with homemade zuchini bread and banana bread. The rooms are very clean and tastefuly decorated. The pool was welcome on the brisk fall day.
