Exceptional
By Huck, 7/28/11
I stayed one night during a two-day office retreat. We had two all-day meetings in the conference room. My only regret is that I didn't get more time to enjoy my lovely room. The decor of the inn and rooms is understated country elegance -- kind of like French country but with a Northwest twist. Lots of beautiful pottery, local art and fresh flowers. The service and food were top-notch. The cookies are famously decadent. My bed was a little squeaky but the mattress was very comfortable and the sheets were so soft -- I could have luxuriated in bed all day. Everything was extremely clean. I enjoyed the fresh hand towels in the public bathroom. Our group did wish there was more than one public bathroom when we all arrived and took breaks at the same time -- but it ceased to be a problem once we were checked into our rooms. I am recommending the Wild Iris to all my friends and hope I get to return soon.

Sleepless in LaConnor
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/27/11
The setting and furnishings were lovely. I had stayed here before in a large room and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. This time was a bit disappointing. The only way to get the room to cool down was with an open window and the traffic noise was surprising. It kept me awake much of the night. Also, the toilet clogged and no one ever responded to my calls to the front desk. I finally found a plunger and took care of it myself. My recommendations to the Wild Iris would be to add fans and have a live person answer the calls to the front desk. The staff was friendly and the cookies were out of this world!

Wouldn't stay any place else!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/7/10
When we first came to Skagit Valley, we tried several other places. Nothing compares to the Wild Iris, and now we won’t stay anywhere else. We've stayed here 10 times over the last 2 years. Wonderful rooms, with fireplace and large (big enough for two) Jacuzzi tubs! Great location - nice (flat & easy) walk to the best shops and restaurants. Very quiet at night. I love the common living room with large fireplace. The room has tea, coffee, hot chocolate, books, magazines and newspapers available 24/7. Big comfy chairs. Great place to read the paper, with a morning cup of coffee, while my wife is getting ready in the bedroom. And to top it all off, you won't find a nicer group of people than the people that run the place. And the breakfast - outstanding!

Comfortable, Quiet, Good Food, Excellent Accomodations
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/3/08
I as so pleased with the Wild Iris Inn that I will tell everyone I know. The room was perfect, nicely furnished and the bed very comfortable. The most important aspect was that it was quiet! We had bottled water and home-made cookies when we arrived. Tea and coffee was also available in the lobby. Our breakfast was tastey and very filling. I couldn't eat everything. Many thanks to Lori and Steve for making our stay wonderful.

Fabulous Inn....Perfect Stay !
By C.B. A, 6/21/06
The charming Wild Iris Inn is located within walking distance of all shops and restaurants. The attention to every detail from the lovely accomodations to the gourmet breakfasts are a wonderful indication of Lori and Steve's commitment to provide only the best for their guests. The facility and property are well cared for and modern. The rooms are spacious and well-appointed. Linens are top of the line, clean and fresh. There is are fireplaces and jacuzzi in most rooms, TV's, wireless Internet , early morning coffee, afternoon tea and homemade cookies delivered to each room ! We will return again and again !

Relaxing weekend
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/28/05
The room was beautiful. My husband and I were able to relax the whole weekend. It was a short walk to town. The service was great and very accomodating. We would definitely come back.

Delightful to Visit All Four Seasons
By KrisO, 5/14/05
What a beautiful, warm, welcoming and friendly place to stay. Whether a short or long stay, this B&B is like stepping into a small, cosy lodge. Our room had a small deck with a oversized whirlpool tub in it, a lovely fireplace and one of the most comfortable beds we've had in any hotel. You are treated at all times with warmth and friendliness, even from the large, friendly dog. The lobby itself, has a wonderful fireplace and cozy chairs, a couch, coffee/tea pot going and up-to-date magazines and local news. The breakfasts were very good, with lovely service and lots of coffee. It is a beautiful place to stay and explore the little town of La Conner. This small town is located on the water and boasts of little shops, quite a few restuarants and a quaint bookstore with espresso's, treats and little table nooks to sit and relax. The Wild Iris Inn is set amidst the famous Tulips that grow in this part of Washington State. If you plan to go during the Tulip Festival Season, be sure to book ahead of time.
