Desert Sun Nudist Resort, Palm Springs

Loved the week with my husband. It was much more relaxing than I could have imaged. The staff and other guests make you feel very comfortable. I think that I would have been more self conscience in a bikini at a regualr resort than I was here. They have lots of choices of places to relax. There is a nice grassy area that i was drawn to. My husband also enjoyed the salt- water pool. We ate lunch in the restaurant everyday. The staff was top notch. On Saturday, I played naked volleyball with a fun group of people and no one cared that I was not that good. I am definatley planning my next trip back and I am going to book my spa appointment early because they fill up fast.

We always feel very comfortable at this resort. All the residences and temporary hotel guests are very friendly and make you feel like an old time friend. We always look forward in playing competitive water volleyball and other activities. The are many places where you can be by yourself and get away & relax by yourself. I recommend anyone who wants to relax and have a great time go to Desert Sun . Our home away from home in Palm Springs,Ca, Pat & Kat

We had a beautiful vacation at this resort. You won't find a nicer or well equipped compound for naturists. Worth every cent! VERY IMPRESSED!

One would think that people who are naked would be just a little friendly, but I have never encountered such rude snobs in my life. If you smile, you get a dirty look in return, if you say HI, you get a dirty look. Rooms were old and shabby. We checked out after just one night, we couldn't handle all the rude guests.

The resort transfered to new owners (again) in March of 2008 and it is back to its original glory. The staff is fantastic, the grounds are immaculate and beautiful, and the people are wonderful. You're doing youself a disservice by not trying this resort out. There were some minor issues over 2007 with the then-owners, but they're gone and the new owners are commited to quality and a fun, relaxing, friendly, family environment.

We stayed her on Jan 19th, 2008. Staff was friendly and courteous. New owners Dan and Laura were gracious and made you feel comfortable and welcome. Grounds were immaculate, rooms were clean. Pool and Spa were very clean although the pool could be warmer this time of year. Restaurant food was excellent and good value, full bar. We've been to several C/O resorts and this is our favorite. Downside is restaurant is only open on weekends. We definitely recommend this place for couples to relax and have a great time. Bob & MJ

I enjoyed the property-so gorgous and full of wonderful front desk staff. I have to say that my experience at this Nudist Resort was remarkable and we are so excited to visit again!!!!The rooms are well put together and the complimentary continental breaskfast is a huge plus. Front desk hospitality was well apprecited and helped us make plan for the Cochella Valley area!!!!!

I like the comfort and relaxation of the resort. The people are nice and the customer service at the front desk for very friendly.

Absolutely brilliant location & absolutely brilliant staff especially Sylvia the masseuse. The food was good and good value (when available)however the complimentary breakfast was poor and was only provided at weekends - fortunately there are good restuaraunts within walking distance. The evening dinner only operated on Friday & Saturday. Our room was full of crickets, we were given an earosol insecticide to compensate, before we left after a ten day stay we had to buy a second one at the local supermarket to keep our room free of insect life - we're not used to that sort of experience comming from England!!! We had to call for assistance on the evening of our last day there when the shower waste refused to drain. The room was tatty and the mattress on the bed had seen better days. Not what I had expected after reading countless reports and viewing the resorts website.At the tariffs charged I expected an upmarket experience - this was not. The resort is evidently sheduled for a major rebuild in June/July next year which no doubt accounts for the run down state of the rooms also our visit was in November which possibly accounts for the restricted dining facilities. This may be O.K. for the Americans, however if you're from Europe a far better deal is available at the VERAPLAYA CLUB HOTEL on the Spanish Costa's. Would I go back? - YES! but only after I had verified the services available and after the rebuild is completed.

the hotel was great. the room was great. the pool was great. the service was great. i would stay here again. the food was great.
