Filthy, peeling paint, seedy characters
By ,
We were promised a 2 star hotel similar to Holiday Inn or Ramada by Priceline but were given this motel which is far from a clean 2-star hotel. First, you have to check in at a window where you slide your money under -- right at the parking lot, you don't even go into a lobby. The person taking the money was wearing pajamas and no shoes. The paint on the exterior is peeling, the building is filthy, there are shady characters hanging out in the parking lot, and it's certainly not family friendly. They have weekly rates for homeless people. We would urge you to find ANYPLACE else besides this hotel for a safe, clean stay.

Over rated and over priced
By ,
We came to Rochester to attend the Lilac Festival and visit our sons. We found this hotel on line and it seemed to be a nice place. The reviews were encouraging. So we booked it and stayed there over night. It was the first and it will be the last time we stay. It is outdated and needs a major re-decorating in the rooms. We paid $85.00 plus tax....it should be $60.00 and no more. Our bedding was not very clean. The bed spread was stained and there was a burn hole in the sheet. One of the pillows had something on it also. The bathhroom was small and there was a dead centipede on the floor. The air conidtioner was old and did not workd the best. There was duck taped around the edges of it inside the room. To access what they call there continental breakfast, we had to go outside, down the stairs and around the corner into the office. That is where the breakafst was. The door was locked, so we rang the door bell. The manager came in his bare feet and unlocked it. Breakfast consisted of two types of cereal stored in plastic containers, a couple bananas and apples, a few packaged pastries, coffee, Sunny-D, and milk. The table service was loose in the drawer..some packaged and somw not. We had to take a tray for our food and go eat in our room. The next morning we checked out as planned. I went to the office to tell them we were checking out. I had to ask the manager for the bill. He did not offer it to me. The gentleman at the front desk was hard to understand, as was the lady on the phone when I called to make the reservation. I cannnot in good conscience recommend this hotel to anyone. The only good thing was the more quiet street is is on.

Excellent Motel
By ,
We have were in Rochester for 1 day visit and we have booked a room in this Motel. We were very much satisfied with their excellent service, clean room and all that at a very reasonable price. Owners were very kind and eager to help and provided all the information required to us. I would strongly suggest this Motel to some one who is visiting rochester for a day or two

Horrible manager!
By ,
I stayed only 2 nights. The place itself is clean and fine. What made my time there horrible was its manager. He is extremely intellectually challenged and does not have good enough grasp on the English language to work in that environment. He had no idea where anything was in Rochester. He did not even know where the motel was on the map. One morning he noticed I was getting some ice. He though I was taking too much and told me to go across the street and buy it. He saw that some breakfast cereal had been spilled on the floor and accused my son of doing it. I do not have a son. After returning to my home city I realized I left a book in the room. I called the motel and asked the "manager" to go and check for it. I told him precisely where it was. His behavior and comments were utterly unintelligible. I asked who the owner was and his phone #. He told me never to call back.

Excellent Stay
By ,
I came into Rochester from Toronto for supplies meeting with one of my customers. Great little place with internet and a perfect small breakfast with cereal, fruit, and muffins. See you folks again in a few weeks aye!

Very Clean
By ,
We were there for a funeral this past weekend. The staff were super friendly and they even allowed us to check out late after the funeral. I would recommend this place again and stay again if we come to Rochester.

Nice and Clean
By ,
My husband and I were there for a sporting event at the ESL center. Great location, friendly staff, and nice little perks like wi-fi and breakfast. I would recommend for familiy gatherings.

never again
By ,
we stayed here for 4 nights last summer, because everything else was full or dangerous or too expensive. never again. we didn't expect luxury, for the price, but the wireless didn't work in our room and although they tried very hard to fix it, they never did. as far as cleanliness goes, we came back one afternoon to find ladies cleaning up overflowed sewage which had leaked from the next room. apparently they wouldn't have told us if we hadn't walked in on it.and they were rinsing the mops in the tub! the breakfast was inedible--I don't see how they can even tout it as a continental breakfast: a couple of cartons of sweetened cereal and packaged (like out of a machine) pastries.and sunny d. so 2 of the things they list as ammenities weren't: wireless internet and continental breakfast.and dubious cleanliness.

location was perfect
By ,
The location was perfect and the staff went out of their way to assist us with information on ski packages, tours and shopping. The service was great! The complimentary breakfast was a real treat and a money saver. We met other guests from all over the United States and enjoyed visiting with them.

Very NIce staff
By ,
We travel each year to Rochester and this place was our last place of choice as we did not make reservations for the Lilac festival out of error. To our surprise this ended up being the best part of our visit. The staff was so friendly and although their english was not as refined as the rest of America it was a true delight as they helped us with directions and finding a nice place to eat. The rooms were clean and we paid the price that was advertised. My husband and I will be coming back each year now and if your open minded you can enjoy your stay. If your a snob.. go pay $150 at a Hampton Inn.
