Quality Inn and Suites Redwood, Crescent City

Extremely awesome and on-the-spot Customer Service highlighted this seemingly "average" hotel that is on the coast, has make-your-own waffles for breakfast along with eggs and sausage. We were upgraded to an available 2-queen bed room with a harbor-front balcony with an ocean view upon arrival to check-in with no additional costs. A short 20-minute-or-less drive to the Redwoods National and State Parks in the area, with a scenic drive that literally ends and the front entrance of the hotel (Howland Hill Road.) Overall, I give it 8 out of 10, customer service and location being the main features of this hotel.

We''ve been on a road trip up 101 and have stayed several places....this was the most expensive night we have had yet....and the worse....the room smelled and door didn't work properly which makes you uncomforable..just wasn't worth the money....would not advise anyone to stay here....

This was not the worst place I have ever stayed but I doubt that I will ever stay again. The staff was friendly and the next morning the breakfast was fine. However, we paid extra for a room with a view of the harbor which we did not receive, instead we had a view of the parking lot! The room was fairly clean except for the bathroom floor and the bathtub did not drain very well. This place was not worth the price we paid for the room and I would not recommend it to others.

Checked in after 5pm to find our room was not ready. The clerk gave us another room and after staying at these hotels for the last few years, found this room unacceptable. If we had not been on a house hunting trip and hardly in the room, we would have left. The bathroom sink stopper did not close and the bathtub did not drain. So we had to stand in our own dirty water. After showering we noticed that we only had two towels. No washcloths or hand towels at all. We informed the front desk about the standing water and were assured it would be fixed. Upon returning that evening, we could tell someone had checked the sink because now instead of it not staying closed, it would not stay open. And unfortunately, the tub had not been unclogged. This room was dirty. Walls especially around the bathroom door needed a good scrubbing and the doorknob was about to fall off. To their credit, when I told the front desk at checkout about our problems that had not been addressed, they deducted 70.00 off of our 3 night stay. But still in excess of 100.00 per day. Too much!! I took some photo's that I was going to forward on to Choice, but never was requested to comment on this stay as we usually are...I wonder why...Strange

Outdoor entries are not my thing but that was the least of my complaints. Dirty carpet, worn linens, bad paint, stains on walls and doors. When I say stains, I mean dirty marks that CAN be cleaned. Rooms are just plain outdated and lousy.Shower head that would be great if I were 3 feet tall. C'mon, remodel the joint or charge less. The place stinks. With so few lodging choices in Crescent City, of course they can get away with it.

watch your possessions carefully the owner manager of ths establishment could care less!!This property is not a comfort inn/choice hotel.It is independently owned and opperated.Has been cited by the california tax board for faulty compliance with labor laws...

The hotel was very quiet and clean. The staff were accomadating. The breakfast in the morning was very nice. The waffles were a nice supprise. We would definetly stay here again.

My family and I enjoyed our stay with the hotel. The room was large enough for us and the price was very reasonable. The location was convenient, not to mention a great place by the coast.

The location was not great, but wasn't bad. A nice courtyard in the middle. The "harbor view" was very disappointing and certainly nothing to write home about. All we could see were the upper masts of several personal sailboats. Couple that with a vacant lot between you and the harbor and the view was quite underwhelming. Interior showed a little wear but was passable. Continental breakfast was reasonable, if nothing special. I could be persuaded to stay here again, if it was a little cheaper.

The Staff was very pleasant, The courtyard and surroundings were vey nice. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The room rates were very reasonable.
