Downtown Super Inn Bardstown, Bardstown

My friend and I stayed at this Ramada Inn on 7/19/06 and were very dissatisfied. We spent $74.00 for a room with two double beds and the standard features of a motel room. This is a "Gold Key Ramada", which means it was "recognized for its exceptional standards of cleanliness, service, and overall ambiance, above and beyond Ramada's strict criteria." Well, here's what we dealt with: dirty walls, woodwork, and doors; holes and other drywall damage; bathroom door lock consistently malfunctioned; bathtub would NOT drain; draperies were missing hooks and were partially falling down; the ice machine was broken, and the soft drink machine was out of order. Late that night, my friend was directed by management to another ice machine on the opposite end of the property, which was in a very dark, unlit area. The only thing that worked well was the television and the air conditioning. I would NEVER stay there again or recommend that ANYONE stay there. It is very poor value for the money.
