Wickford Motor Inn, North Kingstown

Recently my family and I vacationed in Rhode Island. It wasn't a thoroughly planned out trip and we made many stops along our travels. Sure glad we came across the quaint and peaceful Wickford Motor Inn our stay was most memorable. We arrived at the motel early Saturday morning not expecting to be accomodated with a room given the time of our arrival but much to our surprise we were greeted with the most warm and courteous staff from the management to the housekeeper to the grounds person. Immediately we were escorted to the most luxurious room. A most wonderful surprise as well in comparison to motels we had encountered along the way, Wickford Motor Inn stands in a league of its own. The room was beautiful with color coordinated comforter and sheet sets adorning the comfortable queen sized beds. The room came equipped with a small refrigerator and microwave oven, air conditioner, color tv with cable and internet connection. The bathrooms were extremely clean with a full stock of towels, soap,etc. The room was pleasantly scented. Obviously the staff takes pride in its cleanliness. Initially we had intended to stay just one night but soon extended our stay for 2 additional nights. The manager went above and beyond in meeting our every need, furnishing us with a lovely gift bag with brochures of places of interest, helping to make our much needed vacation a most memorable event. Each morning to our delight we enjoyed fresh brewed coffee,pastries and muffins. The staff was extremely pleasant never being too busy to stop and tend to our every need. Being so far away from home we found comfort and peace at the lovely Wickford Inn. It isn't often that economy permits our family to vacation but we are fond fans of the affordable Wickford Motor Inn and truly look forward to planning our next vacation at our new home away from home. I stayed at the Wickford Motor Inn for 3 nights with my small children. The room was very clean. Bathroom was super clean. I was given extra towels for my munchkins by the super nice management. And the towels smelled CLEAN! LOL We travel alot and linens that actually smell clean is few and far between! There was coffee and pastry that saved us time and money running out on Sunday morning to go visit all our family in the area. Everyone we ran into was really nice to me and my family. Even going out of their way to get us some ice. The microwaves and mini frides were an awesome suprise in such an affordable and clean hotel.. The new management here is doing an amazing job with the Wickford Motor Inn! Will come again!

Nice, quiet, clean and neat. Close to everything.Managers and housekeepers so nice and helpful. What else can we say. Will stay again.

We liked how clean it is, management and chambermaids are great. Its in a perfect location, near everything. Love the comforter sets on the beds. The managers treat you like family.Best little hidden gem. Came across it after stopping in other motels on their street, the others smelled badly and looked dirty.

The Motel is Immaculate, Quiet and it is my understanding that it is under New Management. They are so accomodating. The other places on Post Road are not very clean. Would stay there again. MJ must have stayed at another place on Post Road not the Wickford Motor Inn.

First of all that place was immaculate, we stayed there about the same time. If there was bedbugs everywhere as MJ claims how would MJ know it took several days to get bedbug free and no money back. The motel is ran by a New Manager couple and its is extremely clean and the new managers and housekeepers are great and so friendly. The owners are not at the motel, how would MJ know if and when the owners were told. That post NEVER GO AGAIN has to be a bogus post trying to make a decent motel look bad. I will gladly stay there again as will my family members who also stayed there.. The price, value, cleanliness and great staff as well as location is important to me.

When we stayed here there were BEDBUGS everywhere. The owner was told about the problem and it took days to get the motel bedbug free and no money back. I would never send anyone here

This is 1 of the dirtiest places I have ever stayed, the lady who checked us in was very unpleasant and the room was a complete and I mean complete pigsty.. I would have asked for a refund but it was the only place w/ a room, I can understand why... I do not ever recomend this place to anybody... Keep on lookin there are plenty of other places around..

Staff couldn't have been friendlier--and nothing against Indians, but the owners of this hotel are American-born, so communication wasn't a problem. They'd already turned on the heat for us when we arrived & asked when we checked out if everything had been fine. Rooms are clean & in good shape but they haven't been redecorated in at least 20 years, which is charming in a way. The only potential downside is walls and doors are both pretty thin--so if you have a noisy neighbors, you'll be in for a long night (we didn't have this problem though, I think there MAY have been one other guest in the entire building). Located on a strip with malls and fast-food restaurants and such, but traffic is pretty dead at night. Overall, nice place for a good value and I'd be happy to stay there again. Great spot if you want to take a day trip to Providence or just check out the RI coast.

A very pleasant place to stay. Very clean & near shopping & restaurants. Staff is friendly & prices are great. Will go back very often.
