Gorgeous B&B, Lovely Rooms & Excellent Breakfasts

I noticed the last review is a few years old and very negative, so I wanted to tell you how my husband and I found the inn today, in spring 2011. We loved staying at the Palmer House, so I'm very surprised by the negative review here. The rooms are charming and elegantly decorated, the mattresses are fantastic, the linens are luxurious, the walls might be thin but this is a house built in 1901 so it won't be the same as a huge modern hotel - that being said, we always slept extremely well and noise from other guests was never an issue.
The house is in a charming, historic neighborhood that is a short walk from downtown and great restaurants. It is also around the corner from the Shining Sea Bikeway, a beautiful bike path that will take you past the ocean to Woods Hole if you go south, and to North Falmouth through woods and marshes if you go north from the Palmer House. The innkeepers have bikes that you can borrow which my husband and I thought was such a lovely touch.
The breakfasts here are incredible, gourmet affairs. The innkeepers obviously take great care in making their food top notch. Every meal we had here was delicious, flavorful, and very filling.
The innkeepers are very friendly and helpful with tips for what to do in the area or what restaurants to visit. My husband and I had a lovely visit in Falmouth thanks in large part to our stay at the Palmer House Inn. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Cape Cod.
