Hotel Hellenia Yachting, Giardini Naxos

We were put off this hotel by some of the previous reviews that had been written & were a little anxious about going, but our experience was just out of this world! The location was perfect ~ sea to the front & Mount Etna steaming behind us~ what a contrast. Food in the hotel was of a high standard & how anyone can call the breakfast 'boring' I don't know! Drinks were on the dear side in the hotel but there are plenty of bars to visit. The traditional Sicilean buffet at the hotel on Friday nights is an experience not to be missed. We did have to pay 14euros per day for sun longers & a parasol but it was worth it to just have your own tranquil piece of beach. The rooms were cleaned every day & were spotless but the only down side was that there are no tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms. Whatever you do make sure that you go on the boat trip to Stromboli & watch the volcano shooting out like a gigantic firework in the setting sun! We would certainly consider returing to the Hellania Yachting in the future.

Apart from the hotel looking quite nice from the outside. I can't think of one positive thing to say about it. Rooms are horrible, food is horrible and employs the most rude and unfriendly people I have ever met. If you want a good holiday do not stay here. Our "Deluxe" room was flithly, smelly and the bathroom constantly had water all over the floor. When we complained we were basically told - tough. Reception was always busy with guests complaining.
