The best location in Mackinaw

The location was the very best. It is on the main shopping street. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The pool and jacuzzi was so clean and clean towels were always there. There is a fitness room and a playground area for the kids, and not to mention an ice cream parlor and pizzaria right across the street. This is one of the best motels I have ever been to and my family of five was a great overall experience.

Nice place in the off-season

I liked that the gentleman at the front desk was so helpful. They dont have microwaves in the reception area but if you ask them there is one in the employee area that you can use. Didn't use the pool since it was October when I visited. The showers seem to be made for someone about 5 feet tall. The room was well kept up definately worth what we paid. Its not real expensive but its a good value.

Never stay there agian.

Room was in bad shape, they used some kind of strong cleaning prouduct to hide the smells in the room. Asked for refund and they said no refund at all. Paid for two days on credit card, and can't get money back. Never stayed in room at all,opened the door and had to leave the room. Beware!

Not worth what we paid!

We had an 'inside' room in which the only windows looked out into the hallway. There was no coffee pot, iron/ironing board or blowdryer (which we received in hotels where we paid 1/4 of the price), or alarm clock. The pool was not well kept and after looking around, we noticed several hundred dead bugs around the windows and floors in the pool area and the vents there could use a cleaning too. The outside of the building looked immaculate, it was the inside that needed alot of work. It was in a great location - right next to all of the shops, so you didn't have to walk far, but the price was not worth what we got in return.
