I love this hotel. It was our second stay here. The first was better guest wise. The second time around, rude and obnoxious are the words that come to mind when speaking about the guests though it could just be that it was a holiday weekend and everyone was crabby who knows. Despite the drunks out on the patio who took up all the tables so we could not eat with our twins by the pool, or the obnoxious new jersey family who parked inches from our car while we were trying to get our twins in their car seats, we still managed to have a spectacular time! The room was great and had a view of the outdoor pool and patio(drunks included unfortunately), the indoor pool is fun and has a hot tub too, the swing set outside was one of our favorite amentites, and the breakfast was pretty great too(if you could actually get to the food that is with all the rude guests elbowing their way to the feed). This place is great but my advice, stay away when it is around a holiday and you may find happier guests surrounding you. Our first visit here was during an off season time(I think it was the beginning of May 08) and we had a much better time guest wise. The staff here are very accomodating too which is a plus. They always help to reserve us a room on the first floor(we have twin babies so it makes things easier) and when we had a few issues with the babies being able to get out of the door(the lock was broken on our hotel door) they came and fixed it right away. Overall great stay!!!! Will definitely be coming back during their off season. :)

The staff is super friendly and accomodating. We were literally next door to the Great Escape park, and just left our car parked in the hotel lot and walked to the amusement park. Room was new and very clean. 2 Queen beds, and a cold A/C made for a very comfortable experience. I will go back this summer.

I had booked with The Tahoe "Resort" 7/23 & 7/24. What a dump! I did get my money back with no problem, " I am sure this happens to them often". I was driving around looking for a place to stay with my 10 year old son and his friend and was desperate!! We drove by The Wakita and turned around and stopped to see if there was vacancy. The owner was very nice and found us a room with a queen size bed and got us a cot.The room was very clean and the staff very nice. The price was $119.00 worth every penny!!!!!!
