Nice rooms, great staff. Room was clean and spacious. Location can't be beat. Only complaint would be that the bathroom had a slight odor that we suspected was from the plumbing. Otherwise, great stay.

When i went to the Victoria hotel I loved it there!!it was so coolio. i think everyone should go here!! the rooms were beutiful and spacious!!!!

We just returned from a weekend in Amsterdam and stayed at the PP Victoria Hotel. We had two very nice rooms. The rooms were very clean, spacious, and a very good value. We did not eat in the restaurants but used the staff to direct us to great places nearby. We arrived by train from Frankfurt and the station was directly opposite our hotel. Trams and walking both great ways to see the sights of Amsterdam and the public transport system is superb. Everyone spoke English perfectly and it was a reasonably priced get away. Our kids enjoyed the pool and the rooms and the location. Please consider this a good choice for family.

Try a soup for a light dinner! Only 6 to 7 dollars including small sandwiches. Very good, but - as always in restaurangs! - you have to ask for a HOT soup. Since I stayed in a suite (cheaper than other first class hotels in town), I have nothing to complain about. Friendly service all over the place. Heavy steambath. The pool is rather small. The location is great. All the trains to other towns "cross the street". Sightseeingboats also "cross the street". The "Redlight district" close too and you just have to see it, of course... the service is good , the housekeeping and security are friendly ,near to the railway station and shopping center. The food in the hotel are good .

Our room was not ready on arrival, still not ready by four, by half gour they kindly upgraded us to a suite which overlooked the canal. This made up for everything and the staff were fantastic. That was our first visit and we are going again in October and November this year and would not stay anywhere else. Location is as good as you can get. Our room was cleaned every day to perfection and 24 hr room service was great. We got engaged while we were there and the staff were so good to us. we now email them directly and cant wait to see them next time, they have promised us a lovely room with a nice view for our next stay.... What more does anybody want!!!

The room smelled like urine, the maids were stoned to the bejeezus belt, "clean" glasses had lipstick marks on them, trouble getting fresh towels and they charged 20 Euro a day for a breakfast if you eat it or not. Excellent location though. My guess is that the rooms in the garden wing (where I stayed) are crap, but the others must be nicer.

Have you ever been treated as a criminal? No? Then this is the place to be. In the evening of 05-05-2009 me and my girlfriend walked my cousin back to his room. On our way out my girlfriend needed to visit the ladies room, so I waited in the lobby. While I was waiting in the lobby I was looking back at the nice evening I spent with my cousin. This was about to change....The next thing I see is my girlfriend being escorted to the exit. I walked towards the staff at the exit and ask if there was a problem. It turned out my girlfriend got lost and ended up in a restricted area. I was rudely approached by Max and was treated in a manner not heard of. I tried to explain why we were there, but this was not satisfactory to Max. Basically Max didn't want to hear anything about it. He was very rude and not understanding. In the future I will not be recommending my family or friends to stay at this hotel. The staff is rude not understanding and verbally aggressive. My husband and I stayed here during May 2005. The hotel is located in the center of the city. Close to everything - canal boats, shopping, trams, Centraal Station, etc. Service was outstanding. Anything we wanted we got. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The room was very comfortable and clean. We will stay here again, and again!

I visited the Victoria 6 years ago. I had a pleasant stay. However, nothing really stood out in my mind. Upon my return, I stayed 5 nights. The one thing that was the outsatnding to me was the consistently world class service.
