Close enough to perfect
My hot button is hotel doors that SLAM!!!, shaking everything on the floor. Vic has mostly solved this problem; other hotels further down toward Dam Square ares still trying. Hotel was jammed for Queen's Day, every room sold. I'm a picky guest, nothing negative that affected our enjoyment; not a single gripe about service. Amazing!
Of interest only to those with white gloves, there's scuffs, carpet needing repairs, chipped tiles, other cosmetic defects. The 'radio' contraption fitted into the bedside is from the 50's, when no dial was needed, four or five buttons were pre-set for various radio formats. And bring your own alarm clock.
I'd stayed at the Vic a decade ago, it hasn't been upgraded, but entirely adequate, far nicer than I'd remembered.
And the doors don't SLAM!
As a result of Queen's Birthday, prices were likely at their highest year-round. I rate the Value at about half what the prices would ordinarily have been.
