Novotel Amsterdam City, Amsterdam

Loved the whole experience! This was the best hotel on the entire tour. Great breakfast buffet.

I stayed here 4 nights while attending a conference at the local RAI convention center. It is about a 10 minute walk to the RAI. In between the hotel and RAI is a train station. I didn't see much else around the hotel other than businesses and a few homes. The hotel is clean and modern. The rooms are very simple and small. My room had a double bed with a very firm mattress. There is a loveseat, a very small desk, and a small tv. TV programming is very lacking (no US broadcasts at all, some BBC). The bathroom is very small, no real vanity. House keeping is inconsistant, but mostly on small details. The rooms are basically clean. Restocking is spotty. Restaraunt is ok, breakfast is the best meal, there is a buffet with wide variety to choose. Dinner menu is slim, the asian choices were good. This is a very simple hotel, probably a 2 diamond hotel.Staff seems helpful. For the US business traveler, I would recommend something up the food chain.

We stayed at this hotel last November 2005 and we like it. Our room was clean and smoke free. The hotel staffs were very helpful answering our questions. We also encourage you to try out their restaurant because of the affordable value with exquisite and romatic setting. Over all, 2 thumbs up!

Good value. Location is out of the city but near tram line into city, and rail line for easy access to the aitport. Very clean and rooms are good value. Meals at the hotel, especially breakfast (13 Euro/ea) are a bit pricey. Had a couple small things go missing from room, but overall good experience.

The Novotel is very conveniently located 4-5 miles from the Schipol Airport, surrounded by wonderfully clean, well-presented homes, closeby shopping, and great restaurants. For the experienced traveler who values an ultra-clean, secure, quiet hotel with a terrifically friendly, service-oriented staff, this is the hotel for you.
