Hotel Caesar Augustus, Anacapri

this is an excellent hotel. the view is unbelievable. the pool is amazing and very pieceful. its a family run hotel as far as i can gather. there are restaurants just down the road. i must say though walking to the restaurants is suicide. no pavement and crazy drivers. the staff a very helpful, maybe too helpful. they are everywhere. the pool is nice but its a bit strict. when you swim, you must swim quietly which i didnt really enjoy. the lunches by the pool looking over the bay of capri is lovely. but i must warn you. dont fall for the waiters trick. he will "recommend" a bottle of wine without telling you the price. �35 for a bottle when we fell for it. at night there is a musician on the balcony where you can have a peaceful drink and look over the sea and see the lights from the bay in naples and the nearby island of ischia. highly recommended. p.s. watch out for lizards. they are everywhere!!
