La Quinta Inn & Suites Horn Lake / Southaven Area, Horn Lake

I stayed at the Burlington in a standard bedroom with my boyfriend for three nights. We managed to get them at a discounted price due to the website we used. Therefore, it really was value for money. The outside doesn't make it seem the most appealing hotel, however, once you step inside, you can tell why it has a high reputation in Dublin. Our room was really lovely, beautifully decorated with a very comfortable double bed. The view wasn't very spectacular but that didn't affect our holiday. Our room got cleaned everyday, also topping up coffee sachets, soaps etc. The location was great too. It was in a nice quite area but also round the corner to the pretty St Stevens Green, and a short walking distance (around 15mins) to Grafton Street. Also, the taxi from Temple Bar to the Burlington Hotel only cost 7 EURO. We definitely recommend this hotel!

My favorite part of the hotel was the large tea room to the left as you enter the building. There was a huge fireplace with comfortable sofas and chairs surrounding it, along with many other places similar to sit and enjoy a pot of tea with scones and bisquits. They never rushed you. The rooms were roomy and very tastefully done with your own personal tea table with pot, etc. The food in the restaurant was excellent. I can't say anything bad about the place. I want to return just writing about it. Ireland is such a beautiful island!

We stayed at the Burlington Hotel while on an escorted tour with CIE. The rooms were great but the housekeeping wasn't that good. It is an awfully big hotel and getting around was somewhat exhausting. The food in the restaurant was good but expensive and the service was too slow. The location is good. There was a lot of hustle and bustle in the lobby all the time it seemed and getting in and out was always risky with the traffic in the parking lot. It was a great hotel while in Dublin and we would stay there again.

The Burlington is in a wonderful location; the staff was always friendly, helpful, and efficient. The dining experience was wonderful, and the constant level of activity in the lobby was fun to observe. Our only complaint is the lack of air conditioning. Our stay was in late April of '06, and our room was uncomfortably warm. We were, however, provided with a fan, which helped somewhat. Without a doubt we will stay there again, but never in mid-summer!

1) Room was comfortable but was missing basic amenities such as mini-bar and slippers. 2) A bulb was blown in the room and one of the only two plugpoints in the room didn't work. 3) The restaurant food was awful and was incredibly overpriced. Definitely not the quality of food you'd expect in a 4 star restaurant.

The hotel is not what you expect of a 4-star hotel. It has all the facilities that one expects but the service is poor. Guests visiting for conferences (large international conference with more than 200 people) are not allowed in the bar and lobby after 11 in the evening. This is not good for business contacts. People go to conferences to make contacts and kicking people out in the evening (even when they are in business chats with people staying in the hotel) is not an acceptable practice. The value offered is poor, especially with regard to the friendliness and competence of the staff. The night shift seems not well trained and they do not take complaints serious.

The hotel is conveniently located about 15 minutes from the city centre. The hotel is nice and clean but the service is not acceptable. Conference participants (who pay for the conference rooms, for meals during the day, and the drinks and coffee) are not regarded as guests. They are not allowed in the bar in the evening. Complaints are not taken seriously. Hotel guests (who have paid 200� per room and night) are not allowed to bring in business partners or friends into the bar or even the hotel lobby after 11pm. The personnel on duty during the night are badly trained and not cooperative. This is not acceptable for business travel. The value for money is questionable � many other hotels in Dublin offer a much better service and a nicer experience for a much lower price.

Spacious room with good facilities, there was a small problem with our room on arrival, but it was sorted immediately in a very friendly manner. The food was excellent although the choice for vegans/veggies was very limited, however, this is probably true for the whole of Ireland (they're a bit backward in this respect) Set in a quiet location, it will take you about 20 mins. at marching speed to reach the start of the shops/restaurants, although there was a good bus service and plenty of taxis outside.

I hated this place. the staff was horrible there was something disgusting in my room. the staff was rude and so was the desk manager. I would not recommend this hotel at all this place stunk. and not to mention the horrible smell throughout the whole building!

We loved Dublin and plan to return. The Burlington Hotel was very nice. If you are planning a trip here, think very retro in your dressing. This town is on the cutting edge of it,at times we thought we where in London or Paris.
