Could be better!

Large Hotel, recently refurbished. Not very accessible other than by car, and the roadworks around Dublin at present make it a very unpleasant journey. Number 69 Bus stops outside the Hotel and goes to Aston Quay, central Dublin, but only ever 45Minutes. Journey time 1 hour due to roadworks. Hotel run a shuttle bus to the local tram station but it is expensive and doesnt run after 5pm at night! Our room, although clean, was not very good. Lock on the toilet door was broken, of 3 lamps in the room only one worked! The walls are paper thin, you will hear every word from the adjoining rooms!! I could even hear next door stirring their tea at 3 am!! The fan in the shower room stayed on all the time, almost impossible to sleep with the noise of it. The heating in the room works from a ceiling blower and once swithched on it was like a hurricane so if you want a warm room you wont get any sleep! On our last morning there was a local powercut and as the Hotel does not have a generator that meant, NO heat, NO water (the hotel system is pressurised from an electric pump) so therefore No toilet, shower, shaver etc... No breakfast. The swimming pool does not admit children after 6pm. Take my advice, stay somewhere closer to the city centre, avoid this Hotel!
