Radisson Blu Saga Hotel Reykjavik, Reykjavik

Pulling up in January in the middle of a snowstorm, i was a bit disappointed at the exterior of the hotel. It looked a bit run-down, and was a little farther from the city center than I had wanted. Parking in the huge lot, and briskly walking inside, i was pleasantly suprised. The interior was totally new-looking, and the rooms must have been recently renovated as well. Staff was the usual for Radisson: cheerful and helpful. The view out the room overlooked Reykjavik airport and the water, and was stunning during the 4 hours or so of daylight. Be prepared for the funny sulphur smell as you shower, but that is the norm in this geo-thermal powered country. As far as the location, it worked out well, as i lost the urge to walk around the city once discovering the biting cold and wind!! In all, another great example of a Radisson hotel!
