Romantik Hotel Zum Ritter St. Georg, Heidelberg

This hotel is a wonderful location for exploring Heidelberg and the surrounding region. Located in the heart of old town Heidelberg and a short taxi ride to the train station for day trips. The hotel staff is great with all accomodations. It is very clean. The beds can be a bit hard on the backs but that is to be expected at most comperable hotels in Europe. The Zum Ritter can be a bit pricey but worth every penny if only for one night. The front rooms offer the best views of the Marketplaz but can be a bit noisy at night. If you are a light sleeper don't get a front room. Great, great location for the Christmas Market. Second visit to this hotel and will stay here again if we go to Heidelberg.

We shared a bath with a room that had a sink. The location is fantastic. The merchants on the square were worth seeing especially the flower market. Can't imagine what Christmas woulkd be like

I return to Heidelberg many times a year for business. I always choose the Hotel Zum Ritter for it's personal service and proximity to the best activities in Heidelberg.

This hotel was unique in every way. We (a group of 45) stayed only one night, but I wish it had been more. The rooms we had (over 10) were some of the most beautiful and unusual we stayed in. I would recommend it for couples on honeymoon; first or sequentially higher. It is within walking distance of the shopping district and the University of Heidelberg, as well as the castle. We walked home from our tour in less than 10 minutes. What a wonderful place.
