Novotel Le Mans, Le Mans

This hotel is just ok. The room looks like Motel 6 circa 1985. The bed is not very comfortable and the decorations are ugly. The rooms are semi-clean but look really old. But there are some good things. I loved the bathroom in this hotel. It looks like it was recently rennovated and was very new, clean, and modern. I wish they would have done the rest of the room though. Also, the restaruant is wonderful. But it is France, so that's pretty typical. I also liked how they had mini bars in the room, and that there was an air conditioner that worked great in the room that I ended up staying in. (I was there during a heat wave) But be careful because some of the rooms have broken air conditioners. I had to switch rooms 3 times before the front desk clerk would give me a room with a working air conditioner. I think he was having a little fun with me since I am American and don't speak much French. Also, I had three suitcases and a bag to carry each time I switched rooms, and it was about 90 degrees inside the hotel. Each time I came to the desk to tell the clerk that the air conditioner was broken and I wanted a new room, he made me wait until he had taken care of everyone else that was waiting in line, even though I was ahead of them! That really annoyed me. But other than that, most of the other hotel staff were very nice and were willing to speak English to me. One other thing, the internet connection is confusing. I never got it to work. You have to bill it to your cell phone.
