once was enough
By ,
Being right across from the rail station made it impossible to catch a taxi. It was also always busy and rushed there and the clientele around the neighborhood weren't great. For all the charm and beauty of Paris, this place was lacking. 'There wasn't even a picture on the wall!! No air, very small,c cramped room.

Excellent experience
By ,
We stayed for our wedding anniversary (which it is worth telling staff about) we had our room upgraded for free with view of Eiffel and Sacre coeur, 6th floor large room 6ft bed very contemporary in newly refurbed part of hotel. We emailed hotel first with polite request of what we would like. All staff helpful & friendly, chocolate on pillow each night! Breakfast excellent. Would be careful in area at night as quite a few vagrants around station, but we didn't have a problem. Pick a high room to get away from street noise, but once windows shut couldn't hear anything. recommend red bus tours and visiting Notre Damme district for everything you need from veggie friendly fast food to gift shops or just romance and the boat trips.

My only option for hotels in Paris
By ,
My fiance and I stayed at this hotel in January 2004. We booked a standard room and upon arrival came to know that they overbooked for that night and we were relocated to a different hotel, in a seedy part of town. After calling the Accor hotels reservation line (Libertel is an Accor brand) in the US, we returned to the Libertel the following night and received a complimentary upgrade to a suite. Make sure to visit the Accor hotels website prior to booking. We landed a 99 nightly rate that was cheaper than my fallback choice... the Hotel Ibis Cambrone (also very nice)

good, functional hotel
By ,
A good hotel, that's good value for money if not very modern. It is a little tired, but the staff are very friendly. it's a little way to town, but it's very close to the Gard du Nord. I would stay again if I needed the location.

Overpriced for such a tiny room.
By ,
The service was fine, the place was clean, and the location is fantasic, but this hotel is overpriced considering how tiny the rooms are. There are other hotels in the Gare du Nord area that are only slightly less nice but are less then half the price. Also, they forgot my wife's wake up call. This was not a disaster for us because she had a backup alarm, but I was surprised at them. One other thing that is a bit annoying - they charge a fair bit extra for breakfast and for WiFi access.

fab hotel
By ,
I booked this trip as a surprise for my husbands birthday. We travelled by eurostar and once in paris were at our hotel in seconds. The staff were so welcoming and very helpful throughont our stay. The rooms were and airy and clean and the breakfasts scrumptious!!!! This hotel is perfectly situated for use of eurostar and metro as well as numerous bars, cafes and a couple of very good restarants - if you like thai food there is a superb restaurant close by!! If we were ever to return to Paris we would definately use this hotel again.
